The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - Epi 9 July 13th - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

OnePromise, We are of like minds. I truly would love to watch a season of Nick as The Bachelor for these same reasons. It would be fascinating for someone of his quirky "in his head" style to be the lead. I believe it would be a ratings bonanza. Although Ben is nice, good looking, yada yada yada, it will be another clone of a season. I am really surprised that MF did not choose Nick based on this season alone and the edit they gave him.

I don't think anything is set it stone yet. Ali said that she knows for a fact that decision has NOT been made, and would love to see Nick as the next lead.

In fairness to Kaitlyn, if she's a sl*t, so is Nick, since he had sex with someone after a first date and wasn't in love with her, at that point. He was straddling her in church, which was pretty icky of both of them.

I also think it's important to remember that Trista also had sex with three guys on her time on the Bachelorette (Alex, Charlie, Ryan), so she's just as "sl*tty" as Kaitlyn. It just comes down to what the show wanted to highlight and portray a lead as. You still have the majority of people on SM thinking that Emily Maynard didn't even go to a FS, not knowing that she slept with three guys (Brad, Jef, Arie) during her time on the show and had a huge sexting scandal. People believe what they are told, not necessarily what the truth is.

If I remeber correctly K was the one that asked Nick back to her room not Nick. Tell me one guy there that would of not gone for it except Cupcake and Ben. So I would not say that Nick is a sl*t but a man that did what most other men would do in that situation. JMO

rosesrREd - Glad to hear the ink is not dry on those contracts.  ^^^   I have felt all season that Nick was being considered for The Bachelor if he was not F1.  His would be a very interesting season to watch!! :cutesmile!:

Thanks Whit and another thing the reason I say I miss the good old days is that the sex was not in your face like it is this season. Funny I wonder is Trista tweeting this season?

If it is Nick season, darn I know I would not get any sleep, I would be rewatching every episode. That would be a season call been on crack or speed as they say.

It seems like you are making the argument that sl*t is a gendered term and can only apply to women, which I don't agree with. I hate that term, but it just refers to someone who is sexually promiscuous. Within the past year, Nick has had sex with at least three women - Andi, Kaitlyn, and Julie. He admitted that the last time he say ILY was on the show, so sex with Julie was a casual thing. He had sex with Kaitlyn after one date, with a bunch of cameramen and producers right outside his room. He sexted with Kaitlyn for months. He touched privates when he was about ~13. Nothing about what I know of Nick tells me he is any less sexually promiscuous or experienced than Kaitlyn. He had a choice like Sean to wait for marriage or like Art, wait until he was in a monogamous relationship. Just because something is the common thing to do, doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do.

For the record, I have no problem with either Nick or Kaitlyn having all the sex in the world. Considering how much non-consensual sex happens in the world, I am happy when people are having consensual sex. My problem is holding Kaitlyn to a higher standard than Nick, simply because she is a woman.

She is the one whom started acting like a sl*t, to a man if given he is going to take it. Further more they had been corresponding for months before the show so Nick is not the sl*t in this. A relationship had been built before they met.

Men are just as capable of saying no to sex as women are. Sean Lowe, Charlie, and Art have done it. Saying that a man is powerless to say no to sex is pretty insulting to their gender.

And, Julie and Nick 100% had sex. No one travels that far just to hang out.

I have never once thought or said that men are not capable of saying no to sex.  Where have I said they are powerless?

Funny I have gone to male friends of mine house and we did not have sex during our whole friendship it can happen.  May my friend rest in peace because he is no longer here.  To each his own and it is small minded people who think it cant happen. My best friend right this minute is a male who I have know for over 15yrs and he has lived in my house and we have not have sex. I have been sick he took care of me and still we have not gone further than been friends, I have always been there though his problems and friends we are and nothing more it can be done.

I hope at AFR both Nick and Shawn man-up and apologize for their extremely childish behaviour towards one another - I cannot believe two grown men can act like that. Furthermore I cracked up at Nick saying that Shawn telling him he spent the night with Kait was classless - I mean really Nick you don't think thats a tiny bit ironic coming from you??
I'm sad Kaitlyn allows Nick to propose, that should never happen - even if she feels nothing for him which clearly isn't the case - you just don't humiliate someone like that especially after she had such a big problem with Chris not letting her go the moment he knew. It's going to be heartbreaking to watch

Never once did I say that it is a gender thing . I just stated that K was the one that initiated the sex with Nick. If you really want to compare K has slept with Nick,Shawn,Chris S ,and whoever else. She was the one who is suppose to be friends with Whitney who I think is a classy woman and told the world she had sex with him how disrespectful for Whitney. You have no facts that he slept with Julie that is just your opinion. I do not hold K to a higher standard I just can't wait til this immature girl is off my TV screen and hope I never hear about her again. JMO
