I do have to agree that it seems like Shawn would be "ok" with everything if he and Kait had hooked up first. I'm not sure why but I can see that being acceptable to him versus Nick being first and him having to wait until the fs.

I guess she somehow explained to him that she was still deciding, confused, and cried to him and he got over it enough to propose.

Sigh. This is totally crazy.

Yup. It is crazy. But Shawn 1st and then Nick 2nd makes more sense with not only who is F1 and F1 but sex 1 and sex 2? (Cannot believe this is what we are posting about).

Wasn't it sleuthed that Kaitlyn went into CS tent on the camping GD? 

Maybe this is not really something new and she was sneaking in extra time here and there with Shawn for 4 weeks before Nick even came on the show?

This news about K/S's alone times only makes Nick coming on seem even 'fishier' to me. It makes it even easier to believe he was brought on by tptb to keep K/S from being so obviously a done deal.

That whole darned date might have been a big act by K and N. The evidence keeps stacking up. The line between reality and scripted seems to have blurred this season. imo. (maybe I'm being unduly influenced by UnReal?)

I don't know...I can go either way on this. I think that Shawn was this season's "Whitney", in that he was already half in love with Kailtyn by the time he walked out of the limo. For someone like that, who already has such high expectations of their love story, for Kaitlyn to give him the 1st impression rose, spend time with him off-camera , tell him in week five that she's falling for him and that he's "it"? I think that would be enough, even without sex, to make him feel so sure. I think it's partly the 1st impression rose "curse" - Britt was so confident she was going to win, she never packed her bags before the rose ceremonies, and we already saw how blindsided Nick was when he found out that he wasn't going to be with Andi.

That doesn't mean sex couldn't have happened, but with Kaitlyn saying "has this ever happened before" right after Nick sex makes me think not. Probably something beyond making out happened, but I just can't see Shawn/Kaitlyn taking the risk to have full-blown sex when a producer or contestant could walk in at anytime.

That balcony scene was so manipulated that all those words don't hold any value to me. Some sentences Kaitlyn was practically fed by TPTB about Britt, Nick's outing and "What? Has this ever happened before" could be taken in so many ways:
- has this ever happen before, that the lead started a sexual relationship with F1 so early on off the camera (with the blessing of TPTB), that she knew he was the one, only to change her mind a week later and explore another option, consciously being filmed leading the guy to her room, so now she knows that sooner or later she will have to come clean to her F1, with whom their encounter continues to stay private, a secret? (So she hopes it won't be an issue.) She freaks, because now is a game of time. Will Nick tell it first and thus for she loses the power of a first hand explanation ... or will she be able to give her reasons and clarify her stand to Shawn before he puts the walls up?
Has this ever happen before ... that the whole "foreplay" was filmed (and shown - before FS date) in a proximity, with someone who isn't F1?

That's a good point! Like I said, it wouldn't surprise me either way if she had or hadn't had sex with him prior. I do think that if something sexual happened, it just can't be revealed in that Ben H convo. How can you possibly say "yeah, I was that into Shawn that we tore each other's clothes off and made passionate love the second you stepped into the shower. But, hey, don't tell anyone and don't leave!" I'm sure that Kaitlyn will just give him some type of generic answer like "Shawn was worried about where his relationship with me stood after Nick got here and I just reassured him about that. I still feel strongly about all the guys I have here and I want you to all to know that".

Maybe whatever Ben H talks to Kaitlyn about... he says he doesn't want to hear details... so Kaitlyn doesn't tell him anything other than I want you to stay.

But Shawn hears that Ben talked to K so he later goes to confront her about another "mistake" mentioned in the summary? Maybe we will find out Nick is not the only one. That will be craziness.

ETA: Thinking while Ben is in the shower and he said he didn't want details about Shawn and K may be similar to a certain president in the 90's who had to clarify what sex really meant. This show has really gone sleaze-tastic on us all. Help me now if it gets worse.

CP, I agree with you ... also, the "shower time" is a bit too quick for me to actually believe it happened there (oh boy, I can't believe I even think about it) ... but if anything UnReal TV show can "teach" us, is that opportunities occur more often than not and if that's something Kaitlyn is inclined to do (which, judging from her previous behavior with CS, who she wasn't even that into - sorry, I just don't believe she actually fell for the guy), then it's no stretch for me to consider that she made it happen with someone who she really had it "bad for". Also, to me that would explain all the emotional drama between her and Shawn from then on ... and "too fast too soon" relationship that she lost control of.

Another thing, Kaitlyn is pretty readable (her face), she's quite obvious when she "lies" or "hides an information" ... she also prefers the "brutal truth", because she likes to have no "burden of the secret". So I imagine, this time it's extremely hard for her to navigate, because not only does she have to "lie/deceive" a bit in the name of a game, but she has to hide a big chunk of a story for the sake of The Show. She looks so terrified listening to Ben, the same look I've seen when Shawn confronted her ... she is terrified who will spill it first. That's not an easy load to carry.

I was wondering why Shawn only got one 1on 1 before HTD/FSD, he didn't need to, he was having 1 on 1's behind close doors. Kaitlyn is like a kid in a candy store this season. :shocked!:

Seems like TPTB gave a lot of concessions this season.
Nick got to tweet/IG while on the show and Kailtyn got to be with Shawn while on the show.
And Shawn had 4 weeks before Nick came on and before Shawn had his 1on1.
Hard to be sooo in love with someone you barely see in 4 weeks unless you are seeing them some other way...
That's the only thing that makes sense to me.
I think the guys who roomed with Shawn must have known and were protecting him and were rewarded for their cooperation by TPTB with BIP/TB offerings.

The more I read, the more confused I get. *runs to watch that video with Ben, again*...but a better listener this time!

I know what happened!!!! S just found he's in love with a very cool chick, too...one that can best him even in video games! Sorry, couldn't resist.

I am a fan who has watched these shows from day 1. However, this season is giving me a headache. Please pass the Tylenol.
