I buy what you are selling. However that type of love, IMO doesn't happen in 5 weeks.  If you're married to someone for 10 years, and infidelity happens, then love may overcome. The things he was saying about Kaitlyn "banging" other guys is not something you say about someone you love.  He said these things out of jealousy and entitlement, and not love. Of course, just my opinion.

Maybe I need to go back and hear that...but watch the editing, it's tricky. You more prawn to forgive in a fresh relationship than 10 yrs later because you're not ready to let go.

I respect your opinion pbmax but I have to disagree. I do think the producers are low. But I cannot fathom them to be low enough to force someone to sleep with somebody else. I actually thought K & N looked extremely natural but I do understand people questioning Nick's motives to go through this emotional torture for a 2nd time.

I think this Board is more fascinating than the actual show. It's wild to see how differently we see the same events. For me...

Nick wasn't putting any moves on Kaitlyn that every other contestant in the history of this show hasn't tried to put on the lead. He was just more successful than most. And Kaitlyn was a willing participant, to say the least. I thought she was sending as many, if not more, signals as he was sending to her.

I don't think Shawn had any cause to be so pissed off this episode. He has every right to be pissed about the sex (I would be if I were him), but this wasn't that because he doesn't know about it yet in show time. He's an emotional wreck, IMO. Ranting about her 'banging other guys' is obnoxious. If my BF yelled/speculated about me 'banging' anyone I would consider that below the belt and an indicator that we were in a spiral. I don't care if that's how guys talk to each other, it's not how my guy talks about me. Full stop.

I was even more turned off by him ranting about how SHE is ruining everything.  Especially that he was saying that about her not giving him the GDR, not even the sex with Nick. Does he realize the premise of this show? Aside from the obvious point about her having multiple relationships, there is a point to be made about their power dynamics. She's the lead. He's one of many contestants. Sure she should offer some reassurance to her favs, which I think she has done with Shawn in spades. But his job is to woo her, not the other way around.

Their power dynamics are warped, IMO, and it's totally in his favor. She gives him the FIR, is begging him to stick it out and trust her, telling him he's the one, telling him she's falling for him, and apparently expected to give him all of the roses all of the time. In return he tells her he thought she was smarter, doubts her word, rants about her potentially banging other guys, and goes on a rampage about how SHE is ruining everything. And we haven't even seen him get mad about the Nick sex yet, which will probably be epic.

I'm cutting him a break. It's not an easy situation nor something you can prepare for. To me Shawn isn't cut out for the show but clearly he hangs in there. I think he's hurt more than angry.

Some of my random thoughts:

As for Shawn, the interesting thing is early early pre-season he was my fav, and the more I see of him the more I am turned off by him. He has known Kailtyn for like 3-4 weeks at this point and he is acting like he is "so so so in love with her" sorry I don't buy or get it. I think there are a lot of red flags when it comes to him including the quitting his job, hearing people who know him saying if he doesn't win he is the next bachelor etc. From the moment he said "I wish you were smarter" to when he said "until she bangs two other dudes" I find him condescending to Kaitlyn, whether he tries to or not but I get the feeling he is used to being the head honcho and this is not going exactly as he "planned".  I do think he genuinely likes Kaitlyn I just think he coming across as very possessive and territorial.

As for Nick, I do think he came across a little "swarmy" more than usual I think it was mostly due to the fact that he seemed to be hammered for a good portion of the episode on all that "whisky" they drank. I think their chemistry is undeniable, and I thought the scene where she said come with me (to the bedroom), if you look at his face he was like searching her eyes to say are you effing with me...kinda funny. I found absolutely nothing wrong with his tweets last night, they were supportive of Kaitlyn which and of the potential feelings of the other guys.

Kaitlyn seemed pleased to me when she first walked out it was only after the prodding of the producer on the sidelines did she start to doubt or think Nick might say something, total producer manipulation. You could tell to because on the group date she was as happy as a clam, and I am thinking this is because she could sense from the guy's moods that Nick hadn't said anything so she was back to being happy about the previous night. She didn't seem upset about the act but rather the potential for Nick to "out" her destroying both their and her relationship with everyone else.

So far I am #TeamKaitlyn. How she handled the Ian situation was incredible I would not have had that grace to not scream the guy out, she was able to calmly tell him how much he offended her without wasting a real breath on the guy. I do not think Kailtyn made a mistake sleeping with Nick I think her one mistake was telling Shawn he was "the one" but then again this is before Nick came in (they said after group date #2).

I do not see a long future for Kaitlyn and Shawn, based on her snapchat stories & blogs focusing on Shawn and barely mentioning Nick indicate to me that things are not smooth sailing with Shawn and that she is needing to put her "full attention" on him while this all plays out (ala Emily Maynard on Brad 2.0) Not to mention the unfollowing of Nick on SM. Plus all those pics of Shawn on the weekend did not scream "I AM HAPPILY ENGAGED MAN!" but hey what the heck do I know.

I am finally caught up. My thoughts:

I think Shawn is as naïve this year as Nick was last. I can't believe people trust the producers/handlers after what they see season after season...and reading their contracts. He needs to take a chill pill. He's known this woman...who just happens to be dating 25 other guys...for a matter of hours if you actually look at the time spent together. If they are together, I just can't see this lasting. I can't see him...or his family/friends...being comfortable with this in the long run. Same as last season.

TPTB are simply disgusting and I am sure they are loving all this attention. Lord help us with what they will do next season.

Kaitlyn has no self control. She specifically told Nick she dressed for him to have access and led him all the way into her suite and behind closed doors. The choices were hers and nobody could force her to sleep with someone she didn't want...and she looked plenty happy and full of anticipation at the thought of the possibilities of sex with Nick.

Nick...I get that he liked the girl and wanted to meet, but why did he have to fall into the sex trap again? I can't see how this would help his career...since he actually has one...and his poor family to have to go through this again.

For me, as much as I have enjoyed this guilty pleasure over the years, this is now veering uncomfortably into Kardashian territory....unwatchable. It is my line in the sand and they may just have crossed it. I have to do some serious self contemplation regarding my viewing habits.

ITA with everything you posted. It is like this is the Shawn show and even Nick is beta to his alpha (all the guys are and K as well).

Shawn always seems to be ranting and raving and even the other guys talked about Shawn (they knew Shawn had spent off-camera time with Kaitlyn something they hadn't had so Shawn had essentially let them know where they stood -- below him).

Shawn's behavior regarding Jared, who has been completely reasonable regarding everything that is on the show, was so self-entitled, imo. Shawn was upset that Kaitlyn would give Jared the group date rose out of all people. He said it was BS that Jared got the rose. Like Shawn sees himself up here and Jared down there.

It is interesting to me that Shawn showed Kaitlyn photos of his family then after that expected the GDR. Like, "hey I shared my family photos with you, now give me a rose". He could have shown her those photos during the 6-7 hours he spent with her off-camera. But this was on camera, producer driven, already showed her, whatever, still does this on a groupdate.

I find it interesting how much Shawn does things on camera, including telling to her face her actions don't match her words and then again, we are in for some more on-camera confrontation it seems. And the things that happen off-camera it is Shawn's word telling us what Kaitlyn said to him. So we are taking Shawn's word over anything Kaitlyn says/does. He says she told him he is the one so that must be true.

I guess that is why I think snapchat-gate is very interesting b/c without it, who knows how this would be interpreted by audiences and even on this board? If Kaitlyn had chose no one many may think she chose no one b/c Shawn was crazy acting. Snapchat gate is certainly convenient for Shawn. jmho

That's true!! Then I guess he did. :S I guess he just thought 'ah my mate Ron had a pretty good time, and I like this girl a lot so it'll be easy!'

Or it might have been the producers briefing the guys on each girl before opening night, so they wouldn't be like "who are you?" Unlike previous seasons, every guy actually seemed to know each girl pretty well.

I don't know, I just see a really naive guy. Whether that is him being arrogant about K only wanting him, or he can't genuinely wrap his head around the craziness, I don't know...
