That could be one reason. Another is that it's no big deal to her if she had sex with Shawn (IMO she didn't) because it didn't threaten the only relationship she cared about - her relationship with Shawn. IMO Kaitlyn is not really trying to protect her relationships with the "other guys" - she said that only in her early interviews - but in later ones she said not "other guys" but "another guy" and confirmed the "guy" was Shawn to the interviewer. Even on the last episode she used the phrase "another guy" and they just smudged the word "another" to make it sound like she said "other". She did say "another" and when she said the word "guy" there was no "s" on the end. IMO all her concern throughout filming has not been about multiple relationships with multiple guys - it's been about one relationship with one guy - Shawn.

Please do not take this as anti-Shawn post. I thought he was so sweet during their initial 1/1 and I loved K ITM describing his smell, voice. It was so her! I'm just OVER seeing Shawn drama..in the words of another IMOAA, she had to worry and focus on that one relationship...it had to occupy her thoughts. HE was scaring her. I do believe that because People magazine broke that info and K retweeted it.

I agree with this 100% Kaitlyn knew her final 1 was going to be shawn but she also had pressure to "do her show" from TPTB. Alcohol and lust==deadly combo. ;)

Is this not the girl who said if the physical part isn't there...it's a deal breaker?

I'm on the fence about Shawn sex. I would understand if they did given the almost immediate bond they shared from day one, but I could also understand why they might've chosen to wait for the right circumstances, too.

Maybe the reason K&S have such body language is because they haven't yet. I see lots of sexual tension there. This could be the "slow and steady burn" Kaitlyn might have been referring to?

I definitely think the physical is there with Shawn in spades.  Hot, hot, hot!    I think there will be much more showing "it" between shawn and kaitlyn as the show moves forward.  ;)


There is also the ever important emotional connection with shawn as well.

Even though I think it's likely they've already slept together, I can see Shawn being more okay with Nick tryst if he's the very last man to sleep with her, hopefully, ever.

So I can see the argument for both really.

She also says she regrets "the timing". Maybe she did wait until the timing was right with Shawn. I realize K is impulsive...but I'd like to believe she didn't really want to rush lovemaking with him (during the small window of time that Ben H was in the shower) and instead waited for the right moment. And maybe that moment was still pre-FS off-cam. I just can't wrap my head around K&S doing that while Ben H was present. Out of respect for him and for one another.

I can wrap my head around it quite well.

When Joe told Nick that Kaitlyn had given Shawn extra time he said it was after the second group date- the sumo date- not the one in SA when she was in Ben and Shawn's room. So I think she invited Shawn to her room after Sumo date before Nick was there, then she went to Shawn and Ben's room after the group date in SA. I don't know when the 6-7 hours alone in Shawn's bed comes from- it's either a 3rd time or in the room with Ben but I don't know why he would say "alone" unless Ben was asleep for most of the night.

Maybe Ben is like my son who takes really long showers (I cringe when the water bill comes), and having roomed with Ben, Shawn knew this, and that he and Kaitlyn would have enough time while Ben showered.

Maybe the "vibe" the very diplomatic Ben was describing to Kaitlyn was one guy recognizing another guy's (Shawn's) "i just got laid" smile.

And Ben stuck around, despite knowing he was spinning his wheels, because he was promised next Bach (not that the promises mean anything). Pretty good next Bach set up- asks not to be kept around if he is spinning his wheels, gets reassurance only to be let go at F3 (and without a visit to FS IIRC), and realizes he was spinning his wheels and it was always Shawn, but he is very gracious about it. (He's been drama free, seems too sweet to go off on Kait).

So after getting hurt (as far as we know so far, without the waterworks) and spinning his wheels, being sincere, genuine etc, he gets his own chance to find love.

After this season's smut fest, we're "due" a lead who is a little more "conservative", and a season with a lot less sex and drama and *gasp* a show about a lead actually dating a group of women, trying sincerely to get to know them, maybe actual conversations that let us get to know lead and contestants.

MF will probably never let it happen,but I can still dream.....
