While I think they got along I actually think this friendship is more circumstantial than longterm.
I notice in a lot of photos with Shawn and Ben it is Shawn who is initiating BL more and Ben pulling away a bit.
Not that there is a problem at all but even Ben following and liking IG posts by Shawn's "other guy" Nick (Dr C hasn't liked any of Nick's pics) tells me that Ben's loyalty lies with himself and not Shawn alone.
That's why I like Ben. He's not going to be swayed any which way just because... he is his own person.
I also think that Shawn is a bit different of a personality to Ben and Dr C. The latter are more cerebral in their careers and also have a big focus on faith/Christian.

The same thing he's been doing on his IG long before the show? These kids are so stinking cute! How dare he invoke baby fever on us without warning?  

One year ago: He's very obviously smitten and close with his niece and nephew. It's adorable.
