AFAIK, nobody has disclosed the contract. Further, it's pretty clear that rings will be displayed until after the final episode. Which isn't to say there aren't lapses.

E9 states Neil and Sam try to communicate better, (they need that for sure) David learns Ashley isn't physical attracted to him (didn't we already see that part? Maybe it shows how he's dealing with it) and Vanessa and Tres discuss the subject of children( hopefully looking forward to the future) . E10 Tres' friendship with another woman causes feeling of insecurity for Vanessa, Sam spends time with Neil's friends and Ashley learns David is sending text messages to another woman. ( I remember reading that he was sending messages but I don't remember where). I get anxious to see the next episode and I don't really know why. Maybe hoping this show gets more exciting. After they got married it all went downhill.

Never watched prior seasons but followed the threads on the debacle that was Season 2. Out of I guess some morbid curiosity, I binge watched season 3 through the picking "our" place to live epi, then gave up because the pace is just too slow and dragged out for me.

Was googling the show out of curiosity and saw epi 9 description about Nell having difficulty with moving into Sam's townhouse with her roommate? Color me confused. Why would they pick out their "own" place if they moved into Sam's place with roommate????

The "texting another woman" thing... A) is this documented? and B) is this close to sexting or is this someone he knows as a friend? Think about it this way - Ashley is frustrating him no end. He's running out of ideas about how to make the marriage a real marriage. His bros aren't coming up with anything that works. Why not ask a woman about the problem?

It's a mystery to me about was wrong with the house, but Neil and Sam seemed to agree it wasn't right for them. However Neil should have balked at moving to Sam's place. David had it right with not wanting Ashley running home to hide out. The same holds true with Sam. And Neil has to cope with the roomie, too. This is another demonstration of how dysfunctional things can get.
