She has not practised for 2 years now. She took a leave of absence for JPab's season. If I remember correctly, she never went back again. She took another LOA to do her own season and the subsequent publicity rounds and then formally quit. From what we sleuthed out, she had only been working at most a year and a half before she left to do the Bachelor. I would think it would be even harder to go back if you never practiced much to begin with.

MeAndI has been a reality "star" longer than she was an attorney. You can't make this stuff up! 

LOL!! So true! So true! And so utterly pathetic and devoid of any real ambition of MEandI's part...

At the present, it's even hard for practicing attorneys or new grad to go from one job to the next.
For most that need to work, a good job is cherished and not something cast into the wind.

To me  if Andi is doing what makes her happy. *edit* Bottom line she is happy and she is paying her bills end of story.jmo

I don't know how many people can afford a NYC apartment without a job, not to mention utilities, food, etc. Then there's the gym memberships, trainers, cases of wine, vacations and trips.... Me thinks she has help, and isn't as independent as she would like others to believe. IMO

I don't usually put the words MEandI Dorkman and independent in the same sentence referencing each other, but that is me.
Now MEandI Dorkman the ungrounded adult still embarking on finding herself --yeah.

IMO it is none of my business how she pays her bills and if she has help paying them or not. Not everyone likes the way she is living her her but it is her life to live. Life is short so if she is doing what makes her happy good for her.

Andi, can do what she wants as long as she is happy. Other people from this franchise are doing other things an are praised, such a double standards against certain ones.

^^ You both are correct. It's her life and she can do as she pleases. It's her business. If Andi is happy, that's all the matters (especially in Andi's world). I get that she has fans; I'm not one of them. I am basing my opinion of her on her actions and my own experiences. I HIGHLY value hard work, and a strong work ethic. I have had two jobs almost my entire adult life. Andi is a public figure and puts herself out there, and opens herself to praise and criticism. Since this is not a fan thread, I am free to state my opinon here - same as you.

Andi can certainly do what she wants as far as I'm concerned, but I do also think it's a bit unrealistic to say that she always has her law degree to fall back on. Maybe if she had 10 years of experience and then decided to take a few years off, it wouldn't be so bad, but she only practiced law for a year. Who wants to hire a lawyer who worked for a year and spent years thinking about anything but law? I'm sure there are more dedicated options up for grabs just about anywhere. I don't think she wants to get back to law anyway though. I guess she just needs to find a rich husband before all her other opportunities dry up.

Andi may or may not go back to law, maybe she realized she didn't like it after all. Her sister has a law degree and is doing something totally different. I am sure she isn't the first one that is not practicing after getting their degree. I may be wrong on this but I think having that law degree will help her with other things in life even if she doesn't practice it.
