Episode 9 - 7/25 Fantasy dates - Discussion - Spoilers

Thanks San for uploading that video. That was so sweet of you to take the time to do that. I know a lot of people missed seeing it.

I finally got to see the Ashley-JP fantasy date. There is also a torrent available if anyone is interested. After seeing it, all I can say is that Ashley is crazy in love with that man...hell, I think I might be in love with him! LOL!!!!!

I quit watching in real time over a month ago & haven't even tape/watched for weeks. This week I was home & had nothing better to do so I watched................every excruciating minute.
What an awful, boring season.
Maybe it's because I was spoiled on the ending from the beginning, but I don't think Ashley ever gave the other guys a chance. She zero'd in on JP just like she zero'd in on Bentley. She picked him as soon as Bentley finally left & blocked out all the others. They might as well have gone home right then. I think that's why so many guys left on their own. They knew this. When a woman isn't even trying, the guy can sense it.
Even at the FD's it was clear she still was closed off. Nothing had changed.
What a great bunch of guys who were wasted on her.
Her entire "relationship" with JP seems to be nothing more than physical. Grope & make out.
I've been around the block enough to know that that's pretty empty in the long run.

I hope for both their sakes that this can work & they end up happy, but it would surprise me.

I really don't think it's just physical with these two. They have shown more of the emotional connection, and the serious conversations with these two than any other final couple on this series, I think.

I agree I think they've done a great job of showing both and it has been one of the best things about this season. I really despaired over the first 3 episodes but, overall, for me anyway, this has been my favorite season yet. I just love how real Ashley and her F2 have been. It is a refreshing change!

I agree as well. They seem to have a very strong emotional connection and are very empathetic of each other. I think they communicate better than some old married couples. Even when he really doesn't want to tell her something, he really does. I think that's why the guys in the BB are so irritated because he's open and honest, he tells her how he feels. He told her exactly what he told his own brother and that was that he wanted it to be over and he wanted her to pick him. The minute he had the chance to tell her how upset he was about her dating the other guys that last week, he did. He tells her when he is anxious or doesn't sleep. She can't say a lot to him but she tries to reassure him as best she can. I've honestly never seen anything like it in this format. He doesn't say it in an angry fashion like it's her fault. She always understands and does what she can. Yes, it's physical but why shouldn't it be - especially at this stage in the game and sometimes, since she cannot tell him ILY yet, it's the only way she can get her point across. Apparently that form of communication is what tipped the scales in Hong Kong. She was temporarily sidelined by a manipulative jerk but she still managed to give JP a really nice kiss at the 2nd cocktail party and make out with him a little when she was still upset about Bentley. So, they had a connection even then. It just took time for it to grow. JP didn't even get a comparable date until the FD and he and Ashley managed to get closer than anyone else in the house. I don't think he bonded with the guys the way Ben did because he was focused on Ashley. Same thing with Ames.

I really wonder if JP is going to say something to Ben about the way he treated Ashley at the FRC. I know she told him what happened.

Ok..my favorite moment of JP and Ashley's FD was when JP said, "I don't want to win... I just want YOU." (as he points his finger towards Ashley). So hot.

For real! If I tried to list all the hot moments between those two, it would take me hours, cause I'd have to stop and keep taking a cold shower. :shy:

I would hope that JP has a bit more class than that to ask. That would / should be between Ben and Ashley.
