Art is going to be in a boxing event for charity.  
They have done a lot of charity events now.
Very caring couple who like to give back.
They are a credit to their families and country.

EXCLUSIVE: Arthur Green, star of The Bachelor NZ, will take on former All Black Zac Guildford in the boxing ring for December’s charity Fight for Life event in Hamilton, and he admits: “I’m pretty scared”.

Green sat down for an exclusive interview with SCOUT and revealed he finds the former All Black bad boy “very intimidating”.

“I don’t know Zac. We haven’t met, but I think it will be pretty scary going up against him in the ring. He’s an athlete, you know, and he’s tough and fit, and I suspect he’ll be a natural when it comes to boxing. He’s probably had some practice. A lot of those rugby stars are good boxers,” Green said.

The bout will be fought over three two-minute rounds. The 27-year-old businessman and Bachelor heart-throb is getting boxing tutoring from famed boxing trainer Monty Betham.

“Monty and I are starting off very slowly. Nothing too rigorous. I need to get my head around the basics of boxing first and learn the techniques.”

Luckily he’s getting support from home – of sorts.

“Maddy [Matilda Rice, Art’s girlfriend and the bachelorette winner] has started boxing too. She’s training at Boxing Alley as well. We’re both in the boxing zone. She’s got a bloody good jab!” he laughed.

Will they spar together? “No!”

Rice, Green says, will be leading the cheer squad. “She’s been really amazing and supportive so far. When I get frazzled, Maddy’s encouraging and I know she’ll be yelling from my corner on the night.”

Art confesses: Matilda is everything I want!



The nation watched them fall in love in front of the cameras on the first-ever season of The Bachelor NZ, and during our exclusive catch-up with the reality TV lovebirds this week, it’s clear the sparks are still flying between Arthur Green and Matilda Rice.

The pair aren’t shy about showing their affection for each other during our Woman’s Day photo shoot, stealing plenty of kisses and cuddles in between shots and bursting into giggles as they pose for our camera.

It’s a far cry from the accusations of a ‘fake’ romance the couple continue to deal with, but Art, 27, and Matilda, 24, have only become more smitten with each other since the show wrapped. In fact, the duo has reached another milestone in their relationship – saying the ‘L’ word!

“I said it first!” reveals Matilda.

“We were eating burgers in bed after a night out in Auckland. I’d been feeling like I’d wanted to say it for about two or three weeks, but I’d been weighing up whether or not to tell him how I was feeling.”

Luckily, once Matilda plucked up the courage to blurt it out, Art was only too happy to return the favour – and now, the lovebirds say it to each other every day.

“Matty’s everything I could want in a girlfriend - she makes me so happy. We are really chilled, we are always laughing and we are really open about stuff,” Art gushes.

I love reading this. Thanks for posting, AAL!

I know it's still early for these two, but there is something about them that makes me believe they're going to make it. Underlying their chemistry, they seem to have a true friendship. As you posted in another thread, AAL, they really do have the T&J vibe going on. Annnd, I love the fact that they are not broadcasting their relationship on SM every 5 seconds.

I'm cheering for these guys!

Matilda Rice and Art Green - professed their love over burgers in bed.

It was while eating burgers in bed with The Bachelor NZ Arthur Green, that Matilda Rice plucked up the courage to say, "I love you".

Art responded in kind.

The two have been together for six months since linking up on the reality tv show, and are now head over heels in love, Woman's Day reported.

Rice, 24, said she was the first to use the L word. She'd been wanting to say it for two or three weeks but didn't want to scare Green, 27, off.

"We were eating burgers in bed after a night out in Auckland," Rice said.

"In the end I just babbled out this long-winded conversation that finished up with, 'I love you'." She told Green he shouldn't feel pressured to say it back, but he was feeling the same way and it came naturally.

"The word love is quite a big deal for both of us, which I like. We both knew we wouldn't say it unless we truly meant it," Rice said.

"We are super-comfortable with each other. I always feel like I want to grab or cling on to him because I just love his little face."

Matilda had surgery on her thumb from when she fell off the horse on the show.  
Bad horse!
Art was with her in the surgery room and posted a pic about it (just like he was with her on the show when she went to hospital)  
I love that they shared this moment with their fans!!
