I will weigh in on the speculation with some of my own.... Kaitlyn may have just stayed in Dublin, at least for the first date. The lead usually does not stay at the same hotel/property as the rest of the cast/crew 9on occasion, they do, but usually not). The "date" may have the 3.5 hr drive there and back while the lead (in this case Kaitlyn) moves around to different locations- Andi was all over Belgium (and in Paris for her birthday). Since it is very rare for the lead to travel with her/his date to/from the location (read Sean's book for the exception made for Catherine to ride with Sean back to Banff from the glacier) even if there was long transit time, it wasn't spent together. Of course, production can use the distance to create "overnight" situations so that guys who tend toward jealousy (JP/ Ben's "overnight" with Ashley) have that opportunity to become jealous (they are, after all, making a tv show and need drama). So distances etc. can be taken with a grain of salt. When we watch the show, we might not be aware of any of it. Also, the lead often precedes the rest of the cast to a location to shoot the "b" reel footage used for the "travelogue" portion of the broadcast and for the host location to use later in promotional video.

At this point I think they could be anywhere in Europe... including still in Ireland. There is lots of great stuff to see there.

One of us needs to take one for the team and start dating Elan and get the inside scoop.  
I think his interns are glued to this board, see the awesome sleuthing (none of which I can take credit for as I suck at sleuthing) and are pulling their hair out trying to find ways to throw us off track.

Looking at Elan's SM today, and then converting to Dublin time, this is what I see

8:30 am - one tweet and then no SM at all again until 3:30 pm
6:30 pm - #airportbathroomselfie
7:30 pm - 10:30 pm only SM is IG post of pillow - Don't.Give Up.

So the 7 hours of radio silence between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm (Dublin time) seems like the window for travel

I think the bathroom selfie was actually posted at 4:30 pm, so there was a two hour silence after that as well. Don't know if that means anything though.

I think it may depend on where you are versus where the other poster is as to when the tweet was posted. Meaning, I guess we should indicate pst or est or cen depending on what time zone you are in?? Might aleviate confusion??

We were talking in Ireland time. Doesn't matter where we are.

Not that they're even in Ireland anymore probably, but it's where they started the day yesterday.

I've come up with 3 destination options, if we assume that the traveling happened between 8:09 AM and 3:19 PM Ireland time. That's the exact period of inactivity from Elan.

They couldn't have gone back to the US or Canada, because the flight to New York takes more than 7 hours and landed after Elan resurfaced, so I have to assume they're staying in Europe and probably traveling via London.

There are several flights to London from Dublin before 9 AM. I would assume they would have taken the British Airways flight to Heathrow that leaves at 8:50 AM and lands around 10 AM in terminal 5. I would think they'd want to have at least a couple of hours before the connecting flight if they're traveling in a group, possibly with equipment and stuff. Possible connecting flights:

Option #1: British Airways flight 490 to Gibraltar leaving at 12:44 PM (12:25 scheduled) from terminal 3. Landed at 16:03 local time (15:03 Ireland time) as in 16 mins before Elan's first tweet and around 25 mins before the tweet about listening to music for the past 3 hours. Flight time was 2h18m.

Option #2: British Airways flight 450 to Palma Mallorca leaving at 12:52 PM (12:30 scheduled) from terminal 5. Landed at 15:40 local time (14:40 Ireland), so nearly an hour before that tweet about listening to music for 3 hours. Flight time was 1h47m.

Option #3: British Airways flight 560 to Rome, Italy leaving at 13:06 (12:45 scheduled) from terminal 5. Landed at 16:01 local time (15:01 Ireland), so around the same time as option #1. Flight time was 1h54m.

Of course there are other options as well, but those are the ones that make the most sense destination, travel time and landing time wise. Some places (including Nordic countries) you can fly to straight from Dublin with a good airline, so no point going through London. Rome and Palma you can fly to with Ryanair, but they're not gonna use a budget airline, hence why they'd go via London. My money's on Gibraltar though, since I don't think they've been there before.
