Nick Viall - Bachelorette 11 - *Spoilers - Sleuthing* - Discussion

Oh boy, what the news. When I've lost any interest to watch Bette's season, despite liking Kaitlyn, now it's a must watched on my list. I don't think I'll comment on it as much (what a promise ), definitely I won't be "defending" Nick's attitude like the last time (oh please, Nick, don't make any compromising video-chats in public again ), because clearly he can manage to navigate his public life on his own and most of the times with him I'm partial.
So I'm so proud that this "boy" has a strong following (I'm standing in line), and that he dares to put himself in the game one more time for someone he actually likes and makes him laugh. I respect people's determination to go after what they want. :winkie:

How is it Nick wants attention? He went back to work after the show. Sean, Chris S and Jake ware on 3 different reality shows, so who's craving for spotlight here? He live tweets during bach shows, so do many other former contestants. Even we do it here. I think that's his way of connecting to his fans and the friends he made. He doesn't post many selfies on SM. He was a guest speaker at a local university once and he didn't mention the event on SM at all. He doesn't use his fame to sell or promote any products. He never appears on any Bach nation public events.
If you follow his SM, you know he likes Kaitlyn. So if in fact he's really on her season, can't we say he's there "for the right reason" to get to know the girl?
As for him and Julie Berry, we only have one picture of them taking by a fan from the back. I don't think we have any proofs they've met besides that one time in Chicago. How did RS know they had sex or not? I doubt any of Nick's friends /family would provide for that. Maybe it's just RS' speculation on their relationship just like us.

For the record RS said "Nick and Julie hooked whatever that means these days" so he never actually said they had sex... I remember he said that Reid and Sarah from Bach Pad hooked up and everyone assumed they slept together then RS clarified they just made out.

He never said they slept together not saying they didn't but saying RS never said they did and even said he didn't really know what hooked up meant ...

Thanks for the clarification. I remember reading some posts discussing this topic and then the whole FS thing was brought up again.....

I love that he doesn't apologize for his choices... Very impressive, particularly in the intense spotlight of this show.

I think he is mature enough to know he is going to continue to make mistakes as long as he's breathing. That doesn't mean you stop breathing in order to avoid making mistakes. jmoaa

Just my 2 cents...

I think that if Nick had a sincere interest in Kaitlyn, and he wanted to travel to filming in NYC to see if he could get a chance to speak with her, he is a man who knows what he likes and is willing to step up to the plate. I do not see this action to be the same as Chris B's on Andi's season. Why? Because I don't think of Nick and Chris B as being in the same league. Chris B gives me the heebie jeebies. I actually think Nick has a good head on his shoulders and truly is interested in finding a life partner.

I think that if Nick was allowed to speak to Kaitlyn (on or off camera) and ask her to consider adding him into the mix of guys, he is a guy who doesn't want to live with regrets and he is willing to take a risk for love. Kaitlyn, however, would then be in the awkward position of deciding whether or not she'd 'break the rules' and let Nick join in.  I think this is a very difficult decision for any lead, as they know how much turmoil it can stir up.

Nick is a big boy. He knows how this show works. If he wants to throw himself back into the lion's den, then I would support that. Again, because my feeling is that he is sincere. If anyone can handle the awkwardness and pressure of being 'that guy' I think Nick can. He is driven and answers only to himself. I actually find that refreshing.

I don't know what to make of the RS info. It seems a bit thin to me. One photo of Nick and Elon and one photo of Nick and (supposedly) the back view of Kaitlyn?  A few photos of Nick with Sharlene and Ashley I.  Just not solid enough for me to believe that he will be on the show at all.  I'm in wait and see mode.

Absolutely... and the fact that he's not defensive about the mistakes he has made shows a maturity which is rare and soooooooo attractive!

Yea, I read RS stuff too and to me, it seems like he is backpeddling on the idea that Nick may be on Kaitlyn`s season after all. Guess we`ll just have to wait and see what comes up next.
