Nick Viall - Bachelorette 11 - *Spoilers - Sleuthing* - Discussion

So many great posts… loving the conversation!

A few observations:

• Hi Notarose.   Lots of changes.  I agree different woman, different Nick.  Also… He and K know each other to some degree.  N’s been through the ringer before, knows the show guidelines, pitfalls and hopefully how to work things to his advantage and for his protection.  Overall, I would expect him to be more confident.  All positive.

• Ha – 25 shades of grey… I think that’s what he gave Andi… and she couldn’t stop cooing about it.  If he and K go all the way, I’m predicting 50+.  

• IA that N only breaks the rules to suit his courtship needs, but I anticipate more rules will be broken.  

• Really good point about N taking Sharleen along for morale support and as a compass.  Makes a lot of sense.

• Emusha, I appreciate your talk about courtship and agree it’s a dying art.  Today is too much, too soon and too digital…. The Bach/ette format forces an in-person, passion postponement interaction and so it’s much more interesting.  (anticipation/foreplay is the best!!)  

• I don’t watch the Bach, but I agree that K’s energy is much looser and younger than Andi’s.  Seems a much better match for Nick.  

• Allaboutlove – love your comment about Nick being there for one girl only.  YES!!  :Nod:

• [Nick is a] Bold, courageous, an old-school romantic maverick.  LOVE this!! – Touche!!

• Interesting discussion on who/how/whether a possible pre show introduction was made.  I would think if there was any chance of Nick being on the show that the producers would NOT want him to see K… but some of the clues you mention suggest it as a real possibility.  Hmmmm.  Regardless, with or without a preshow meeting, there was at least a lot of SM flirting and whatever happened when they did meet, it’s likely that K finally did have the opportunity to experience the “skilled passionate kisser” that is Nick.  Lucky girl!

It just occurred to me that with Nick wooing Kaitlyn and Josh possibly getting the Bachelor gig, there's a chance of Andi's entire F4 being engaged/married by the end of this year. That'd be a first!

Wish I were a fly on the wall when Andi is forced to watch her passionate ex-boyfriend, Nick, kissing a girl she's already said she loves, Kaitlyn...
And someone, I wish I could remember who (please take a bow!!!) who said Andi would be the first to hawk a K&N engagement tee shirt on her instagram for a payout... I mean.....

I guess she wouldn't be watching the bachelorette this season.

^^ I guess Josh won't be watching either. Surely he wouldn't let "a guy like Nick" into his living room, even if it was on his TV.

Yeah...I wonder what Josh's feelings towards Nick are now that he knows Andi a little bit better. He did say in the recent US Weekly article that he would never do the Bachelorette again, which I thought was possibly a dig at Nick, since I don't feel they would have specifically asked them that.

Also, Josh impresses me as a very traditional guy, likes to be in charge... I can see why he would not want to be on the Bach'ette.
Per the discussions today, I don't think Nick was looking to go back on the Bach'ette either, except for K....

Honestly, I think Nick said what he needed to say to A to move on and Josh, as her then new fiancé, got caught in the crossfires.  It wouldnt have mattered who was the F1. 
 As to Josh, it was a tough spot to be in and if he wants Nick forever to be a footnote in his past, never to be seen again, that makes sense.  If at some point he is open to some cordial interaction with Nick then that would be good.  From what Nick has said, I think he respectively sees the ball as being in Josh's court. 
Overall it was an emotionally charged situation for both of the guys. 

As to A. .... I've got nothing.

I thought the picture of Sharleen and Nick jumping in the air was different at first but maybe they were having such a blast and maybe Kaitlyn was doing that with them in another picture that we didn't get to see. We know Kaitlyn did jump up in the air in the photos taken by the photographer in Vancouver.

Kaitlyn is Canadian - Sharleen is Canadian... not sure how Nick ended up in NYC but I can definitely see it as all of them hanging out together in NYC. Sharleen and Kaitlyn surely set up a meetup cos they're both fans of each other. maybe Sharleen told Nick to fly over and hangout for the weekend cos they'd struck up a friendship and had expressed mutual like for Kaitlyn?? Not sure who made the move to bring Nick over but maybe both sharleen and kaitlyn told him to come over and hang with them in NYC for the weekend?? I prefer this story so much more than the one where the producers are driving the intros... I could even see it as Sharleen met up with Kaitlyn and Nick came up in the convo and they decided to try to get him to NYC -- maybe Kaitlyn was the one who said she has a bit of a crush on him and knows Sharleen is a fan of his...  

I definitely see where the fiance's "watch out, that girl is trouble" could be endearing, natural and totally casual/fun in this case & make sense...
In this scenario Sharleen being at the rap show as audience totally makes sense - why her over any other former contestant (and Ashley I being invited makes sense cos she's close to Kaitlyn she kept saying during the Michelle Money video group chat that she'd just talked to Kaitlyn etc. etc.). I actually am thinking that the audience member situation might have been a ruse to bring Nick in casually while keeping it in the format of when Andi brought her girl friends to judge the stripping prowess of the guys in the beginning of the show... they could have brought one of the other girls from CS' season but they brought Sharleen and Nick instead. Bringing Sharleen covers things up... I think the fact that the guys got to see him as an audience member also helps them get used to the idea of him whether or not they think it's fair... they might think is she gonna pull in any random bloke from the street?? but it's not as wild and dramatic as when shantel joined during Ben's rose ceremony

This is all making a lot of sense to me too. That ssaid, I do think production had some involvement.

Sharlene is so well liked (at least on this forum!) but she's not a candidate for any future episode. She blogs the show and was very kind/fair to both Nick and Kaitlyn. She and Kaitlyn are both Canadians. Kaitlyn and Nick are flirting on Twitter.

And, think about this fan thread ... Mura had us all on the SharNick train if he was F2. So that shipped may have sailed now that Sharlene is engaged to a seriously HOT man, but new ship is on the horizon ... Kaitlyn.

What better meet cute than for ABC to involve SHarlene in the match making :cutesmile!: And it's a win-win as Sharlene gets (hopefully!) a little financial incentive plus a very positive appearance on TV, which could help career wise.

So all the stars are certainly lining up but I just have to believe that production helped with the configuring of them. Nothing "just happens" with this show ...

when i first saw Andy's comment on the IG i thought that was a weird comment to say about Sharleen "that girl is trouble".. given a calm, collected and classy girl Shar is. Its not hard for me to think its their inside joke referring a possible K's involvement. Love Andy+Shar and Nick's friendship!

although my SharNick ship has sailed to adorable friendship island .. im excited for the new Nicklyn ship!..Hey ho! Hey ho! here we go !

VERY romantic!!        

I definitely don't think this was his preferred method either but it was all he was left to work with so in his true romantic fashion, he is going to go for it come hell or high water. I think that type of grit is what draws me into him besides his hotness and hilarious personality. He's not trying to win any populairty contests he just is going after a girl he wants and for me, I'd love to have a MAN like that interested in me and willing to pursue me without fear of judgement or shame. I don't know if you guys notice, but I kind of am smitten by this guy ;)
