^Not to keep it off topic, but Dorothy Hamill went home first that season. She withdrew at the first results show. But that fact doesn't change that he finished 6th and went home during the 8th week of the show.

And he went home one week shy of the semi-finals!

^^^ Yes! Such a great photo! In every interview they give re: DWTS, Chris and Whitney make it sound like his doing DWTS was a team decision for them both and that it has been a team effort to keep him there. Whitney herself said on the red carpet that all their energy and focus has been on DWTS.

By the look of delight on Whitney's face, she seems to be super happy that all of their efforts are paying off.
