I got that vibe too, like maybe he and Nick very recently saw each other and he is poking fun at him vs being concerned or upset for Elanick's "wrong going" day.

In his bitmoji post, James has fashioned himself as Prince Humperdinck from The Princess Bride.  If you do a google search for Prince Humperdinck and click on "Images" you'll see his inspiration. The crown, the necklace, the red cloak. It is James because of his blue eyes, glasses, and "soul patch".  I am hoping that the red heart goggles over his glasses mean that he met Kaitlyn (Princess Buttercup) at a MMF (or HTD, whichever) and fell in love with her; basically giving his stamp of approval, in a playful way. This is what I think it means anyway, JMHO.
