I'm feeling really skeptical about Nick being on the show...there is just something fishy about the whole thing.  WHY would Nick put himself in this situation again for a slim chance at winning Kaitlyn's heart??  Is he really that enamored with someone he doesn't really know?  I just feel like there is a lot more to this that we don't know about.  A set up for the Bachelor or some other drama?  Just a feeling.

I do think there is more to it than Nick just liking a girl on a TV show. Personally I believe even if they haven't met, they have spoken on the phone or something more substantial. I say this because of the IG photo with the saying that Kaitlyn responded to and because of the constant tweets etc of "y&m".

If I am right and there is a lot more behind the scenes than in my mind Nick is F1 and was F1 from the moment Kaitlyn was chosen to be the Bachelorette. If he doesn't end up being F1 either Kaitlyn really fell hard for someone else without expecting it or Nick is being set up at the Bachelor. JMO.

I agree with this, I am still waiting in all 29 seasons I still have 0...well actually I was glad Trista picked Ryan but he doesn't count b/c I was not really all that invested during that time. The closest I've come is Brooks being the spoiled F1 and well Brooks had other ideas.......(which hopefully include eventually meeting and marrying me).......sorry off topic, please Nicklyn, just be perfect for each other please!!!!!!

I agree with this, except the Bachelor part. Unless they do a 180 on his edit, this season, he would be a hard sell as the Bachelor. As anyone else ever done 3 back-to-back seasons?

I agree with this sbolduc. Stacia, I see where you are coming from as well. If there hadn't been the back and forth mutual SM attention as well as Nick's tweets about Kaitlyn being awesome, funny, never boring then I might be skeptical of him just deciding to join the show. Like if Kelsey was Bachelorette and he showed up then I'd be The fact that Nick has been pretty favorable to Kaitlyn even before Bachelorette talk started makes me feel he genuinely is interested in seeing if there are sparks beyond their initial SM interactions. I would have preferred he could have done it away from the show but she became Bachelorette so he kind of only was left one option if he wanted to pursue her. It takes such courage to do that knowing it could all blow up in your face again but still doing it so you will know for sure and not have to wonder IF all the time. I still now will be on edge worrying that bad news could come at any moment, ie, Kaitlyn sending him home. One thing that helps, no matter how this turns out is seeing how he rebounded last time, he will be back to his self-depricating, hilarious self. I am just hoping no rebounding will be necessary in the first place.

I agree about Bachelor though reading some of his commentary on twitter, it would be hilarious to see how he would react in person to some of the characters they cast...I just want Nicklyn to fall in love and run far away from this show afterwards!

Completely in agreement.  Kaitlyn needs to keep choosing him ONLY if her feelings for him are continuing to build and he needs to accept roses only if his do. 
In his old bio he said he wanted a reciprocal relationship and that's what he deserves. No blame to her or him if that doesn't happen.  ... massive party if it does!

In his mind, I doubt he thinks it's a slim chance. He already has about a 10% of winning, and, like I've said before, I don't think that Kaitlyn would piss off all the other guys by letting Nick stay only to kick him off the very next episode. If she took that risk of alienating the other guys and viewers, it's because she sees a lot of potential in Nick. If I had to guess, I would say because of what both TPTB and Kaitlyn have told him, Nick went in because he felt VERY confident about winning. And, also, just a hunch, but I think he does "know" Kaitlyn in that they have corresponded in some way beyond just Twitter.

I don't think it's impossible for Nick to be the next Bachelor, but I would say it's VERY unlikely. He did get a "bad" edit last season, and a lot of people do think he came off stalker-y and felt his FS comment was out-of-line. He's also not traditionally hot in the same way guys like Jared, Ben, and Nate are (if they go far). And, he's going to be the "outsider" again this season as the guys have already formed friendships and are going to feel it's unfair of him to come to the show again. Personally, I just really hope this works out for him. If it doesn't, I want him far away from TPTB as possible.

I agree. There's a part of me that thinks exactly like you. I think there was some negotiation or talks done back in February about Nick being the one returning this season, who knows what they offered him in that meeting. I don't think it was a spare of the moment decision but he does seem to have a crush on Kaitlyn so that made his decision easier. I'm a little weary about his storyline, but hoping that maybe, just maybe they would fall for each other despite whatever drama TPTB cooked up for Nick.
