I don't see why there should be a problem with Ben being 26 and Kaitlyn being 29/30. After all, Chris came very close to choosing Becca, who was 25, while he was 33 and I didn't see anyone mentioning age being an issue with them.

Britt is 28.  I think Ben went on the show because of Britt. He likes Kaitlyn and since he's stuck in the bachelor bubble during filming she may seem like a good match. In the real world not so much JMO

That being said realistically, I don't believe Kaitlyn will choose Ben as her F1.

Trista is 2 years older than Ryan. He proposed at 28 and got married at 29. It depends on the level of maturity.

 I agree. Also in play would be life and relationship experiences. 
Kaitlyn has lived in Van, Germany, and Newfoundland which means picking up your life and establishing a new one.  All that makes for a lot of exposure to new things and diverse people. 
She has had 3 longer term relationships that we know of and has been broken hearted as least once that we know of. 
A guy at almost any age could have similiar or life shaping experiences; someone older could have had fewer.

 Kaitlyn's 3 known hockey boyfriends are all her age or older. No problem dating a younger guy if you want but she doesn't have a known history of doing so so I doubt she asked for younger guys.  Then again, Chris had some much younger girls cast his season.

Age doesn't matter as much as maturity. But I still think a 26 yr old is too young to seriously think about about marriage to a girl he just met. JMO, as my oldest son will be turning 26 and I cannot see him in that position.

As an aside, my husband is 6 years younger than me, he was 26 when we got married and we are married 27 years. Of course (not to sound like my dear mother), things were different back then.

Based on Ben's date pics I'd say he is going to get a very good edit. 
2-step and tailgating on a vintage red pickup truck have a really nice wholesome down home vibe.
