We are never all going to agree, but it would be nice not to have almost every single post you make that doesn't fit into the big picture be discounted as if an opposing opinion isn't valid.
and can I add it is never good to be too "invested" in a particular outcome or this show will drive you crazy. I learned that from you Anders, Oh wise one!
Totally agree, will third that. The show is built on the premise of fantasy...any real life success is far-fetched but embraced none the less. My book...soley entertainment!

In the past the edits always run 3 season back to back maybe they have change things up this season who knows. Last season was the first of its kind.

Coastal, question, can you agree that 'editing' is not a common denominator season to season and TPTB often switch it up? Posters with various intellects and thought processes question all and any edits...that's what this board is for, right?

I for one watched the first few episodes before finding out the spoilers. I believe i've common sense and simple logic to form my own opinion. Why is it insisted that a JP fan believes he is F1 because of some infamous blogger? WHY?!
I twisted the arm of my unspoiled friend by making her watch the 8 episodes straight. My questions were simple: "who do you want for yourself and who do you think Ash's F1".
on episode 5 "i like Mickey and Ames! William is annoying!"
She called me up at episode 6, "It's JP that Ash chooses!"
I asked how about Ben F? She answered, "Ben F who?"
At episode 7, she texted me, "i'm torn between Ben F and JP. I'll decide at episode 8"
At episode 8, she was so smittened with Ben F
but for her it is clear, Ash chooses JP"
Why is it often reiterated that viewers see JP as F1 BECAUSE of RS? WHY?!
As someone posted upthread, it is insulting. And then we wonder why our posts are met with sarcasm?

i agree that one's poster can be passionate with his/her point/s of view that is why a heated discussion is inevitable. It happens in whatever forum.
However, we do not need the supreme court to see if one's posts are neutral or not.
Please let us not claim to be neutral if you are not prepared to have all your posts scrutinized.
"just sayin"
One of the biggest problems I see is that we have ppl with many sources. Blondiegal is always complete dispassionate when she posts what her sources have told her. On another hand Coastal has made it abundantly clear that she is not dispassionate. In order to be credible as a provider of spoilers you have to disassociate yourself from who it is you WANT to win.RS doesn't care who wins, he provides the information he has been given and that is it. However, RS does have "a horse in this race", his horse is his website and income from said website. Coastal continues to do the same but not in a dispassionate manner. Only time will tell whether Coastal's or RS's sources are correct.
Sorry, but where is the rule that you have to be dispassionate about the ending??????????????????
That is houey!! I am passionate as it bothers the heck out of me that that as of late there are some posters that are made to feel unwelcome here because of this turning into a JP love site..........shame that those posters have had to leave.
Coastal sorry you are offended but just saying like it I see, just like you do. I don't have a horse in this race, it makes no difference to me whether Ashley picks Ben, JP, Constantine, Reid Rosenthal (for that matter), my life will carry on just as normal.
Blondiegal has always stated her sources information without any embellishment. Straight forward to the point.
I'm sorry you think that this board has become a JP love site, *shrug*, I think we are all trying to determine who's sources are right, and means continuing to sleuth right up to the last minute.
Thankyou for your comments...........my only point this season was to come on here and sleuth locations. I did that. I am neutral as far as not caring which guy Ashley is with but as long as she is happy. I just know what my sources said, then found some of the editing to support it.........bottom line, I get passionate because I am trying to make points and sometimes it feels like it goes on deaf ears around here as this has definately turned into the JP site some days...........thanks again for your words.

There was no more "venom" in Cari's post than there was in your response to her. When someone is so passionately advocating for their own side, they often lose their perspective to look at things objectively. Just sayin'.
Ironcat,

WOW.............I see that you don't like my saying, but I was calling it as I saw it. Sorry that is met with venom.
What is insulting is that there are posters on here that feel that they can't post what they want due to their words and positive comments about the connections between Ash and Ben turned into a negative and positives were put forward about JP instead........Some of those posters no longer come to the other threads as they either stay in the Ben thread or have left the board all together until the season ends. I never thought that this was a JP fansite board but it has turned that way according to some posters that have decided not to deal with all the heavy's around here........really too bad as it is a shame that they have felt that way.
I see my saying is now being used against me in a few posts so I gather it is unwelcome around here too.......
Yes, I am not as neutral as I was in the beginning but that is due to what my sources have said........I believe them and yes, that is why I have taken different looks at the editing, past season FD/LCD patterns and so on.....Just because a spoiler comes out, does that mean that we shouldn't research how the edit is currently going in the current season and see how the similiarities line up for a different ending than the spoiler.......I thought that is a part of sleuthing.........not to ignore all patterns and points to be made. I have made those points in a post to find them scrutenized and easily vented off as being not important..........
I find it extremely disappointing that the posters that use to post here in the beginning have wavered and some have even left due to some forums turning into a JP love fest that posters don't feel welcome posting there if they are not JP supporters........that is the real shame here!!!!!!!!!
As far as your claim that the majority of unspoiled watchers are choosing JP, I think you need to check some more sources before you make claims like that...........completely wrong!!

why?? If he's wrong, and if there was a switcheroo he will want to get that scoop before anyone else can.
If he was wrong, why wouldn't he have made the post today? Instead of waiting?
I am sorry, but I am finding this funny............a lot of the JP fans are finding every and any reason other than the likely reason of RS being wrong again. That is what happened in Brad's season at this juncture of the game, so he's finding out that it happened again.......... It is so funny cause the neutral and some Ben fans are stating the obvious of RS being wrong, yet it is a concept beyond consideration with the JP fans....... just sayin....................
Neutral is my middle name...Ben F1 yeah...JPF F2 yeah...hopefully I'll enjoy JP as the next Bach, enjoy his sexy charisma and watch him in another comical farce!

I respect you for stating your opinion and appreciate you for posting what you do. That doesn't mean that I have to share it though, and I see the edit telling a very different story. The notion that "the hidden edit is F1" may be an obsolete concept these days which seem more focused on story telling rather than gimmicks like "whose glass is held higher at a rose ceremony".
As recently as the HTD last show, I saw a very poignant and gritty story about Ben - coming to a better grip on the reality of his father's death and his reaction to it. After 5 years of living with this that he is finally able to talk about it with his mother is a huge step towards leaving that in the past and getting closure on it. I can see just why the show chose to show us this instead of other things they might have included - it was the highlight of the date. But I also saw in Ashley's blog that she felt nervous and intimidated by Ben's mother and that isn't quite a positive reaction in my view. And perhaps most importantly, Ben's story is all about Ben's journey - it has little or nothing to do with Ashley's journey other than she happened to be along for the ride when it happened.
As I watched JP's HTD, I saw discussions about why JP's family might be skeptical of Ashley (and Ashley herself in her blog stated an even deeper reason why she was concerned about meeting JP's family) and indeed they were. But I also saw Ashley convince JP's mother that she should not be so concerned, that she was smitten with JP. I saw JP convince his brother that he knows what he is risking but is convinced that he has to take the risk and that it's worth the risk, even if it ends in heartbreak. This is also gritty and real. But it is totally central to Ashley and her journey and the role that JP plays in that journey. And at the end of it, all of JP's family supports the couple and Ashley blogs that her own biggest fear was nothing to be fearful of.
To my eye this is very clearly a night and day difference in the story telling and in the edit.
Great post Lucas! So while my gut keeps telling me that RS's news is a switch, I don't think my head will ever understand it.
