The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - General Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Am I the only one to think that Nick V came back so he could be the next bachelor? The stalking tweeting thing is a bit over the top IMO. Nick is extremely smart and considering how the producers used him, I have this nagging feeling that everything was planned and orchestrated for him to justify his presence as we all know that bachelors and bachelorettes are recycled contestants.

I do not mind. I was not a fan but since he was not shy on TV, this can be a good show. My concern is that he may be a bit too jaded and we may have another Ben season ahead... if he is the next bachelor of course which I have little doubt since I heard of his "return". Now, will he be as manipulative as the others? we shall see.

I don't think he even has a chance to be the Bachelor, to be honest. He got the "villain" edit last season, and there are still people who don't like the fantasy suit comments he made about Andi. I'm guessing he's going to be the outsider again this season, as the guys are going to hate a guy who came in half-way and instantly became a frontrunner. Also, I think that it's a matter of over-exposure; I'm sure that there will many viewers who will be bored seeing Nick on two consecutive seasons of the Bachelorette. Three almost-consecutive shows might be too much for even me, and I'm a huge Nick fan. He also doesn't really fit the typical Bachelor mold, which is more of a vanilla, All-American good looks type of guy like Sean or Chris. The only way that I possibly see him getting the lead is if he gets an AMAZING edit, people really change their minds about him seeing him take such a huge risk for Kaitlyn, and if none of the other F4 guys are suitable for the Bachelor.

but we know how good producers can be with edits, no? we also know that they asked a couple leads to keep one up to top 4 even though they had no interest. I refer to andi and chris per se. no way would have andi considered even a nano second to become a farmer barefoot spouse! They probably promised Nick V great edits, national redemption and next bachelor position along with good $$. He left with his private parts between his legs, I am sure his pride played a role but I see him dissecting every pros and cons. What really matters is that the show after so many seasons get audience up, and what a great opportunity for ABC to raise the attention is the villain or ex-villain is the new bachelor? The producers proved with chris season that they needed something new: they played the farmer card. They tried the double bachelorette's choice. They want to spice the franchise because they know they have no choice. So for me, Nick V is a treasure to be used but methinks with his complete agreement beforehand. So inviting him will double the chances for them to select a bachelor. What truly matters is that the show is talked about: the more people talk about it, good or bad, the better it is. After a full season with Andi, they know him well. And he is not too old news in the eyes of the public that he cannot bring people over. Some will hate him, some will love him, the better we talk about him, the better.

I don't think they'd have to bring him back for BIP. Andi's season was recent and he ended up being pretty hard to forget! They have had contestants on BIP who I hardly remembered!

 Or there is no conspiracy   .  
He is well known enough to show up on BIP without being here.  
He came at the mid-point after which viewers will have already picked their favs for Kaitlyn and wishlist for next Bachelor.

Yeah, I don't think most viewers had any idea who Lacey, Elyse, Zack, Robert and what's-her-name who slept with Putz were. Last summer's F2 who shocked the nation should be easier to remember.

I truly think the only reason Nick is on the ette season this year is for Kaitlyn only. He is taking a huge risk to see if there is any potential between the two of them. I do not think he even thought of being the Bachelor or being on BIP. IMO it is Kaitlyn or nothing.

Sign me up for Nick for the next Bachelor. While I think he went on the show for Kaitlyn I am not so sure that she will choose him. I hope she does! If not, I hope he gets a great edit that will make him at least a viable option of the next lead (if none of the other guys who leave from Kaitlyn's season are viable options for whatever reason).

I could see them editing Nick as a heartbroken, 2x never chosen and spinning it as a story of 3rd times the charm or spinning it as always dumped and never chosen and making it his fault. If kaitlyn doesn't choose Nick as F1 then I hope he is let go long before F2 and his edit is all about 3rd time's a charm.

This guy makes some very astute points... and is also cheesy.
