The Bachelorette 11 - Screen Caps - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Most of the early season had nighttime FRCs. It seemed to be the norm back then. Now it's generally sunset but there are obviously exceptions.

I actually liked those earlier FRC's better than the sunset ones.
Sunsets and fireworks are gorgeous. I don't find either translates well for me on tv. I am always disappointed.

I thought one of the most beautiful one was Byron's How they had it over the pool!Outside! Beautiful!

IMO the reason for the late afternoon FRC didn't have anything to do with Kaitlyn's indecision as I think she made up her mind well before that. For some reason - and I don't know what the producers were thinking of or why they wanted to do this - I believe the producers wanted Nick to propose and believe Kaitlyn was going to say "yes' when they knew full well she was going to say "no". They had Nick go through all the steps in picking out a ring (and we've seen SCs with Nick and the ring so we know that happened) and they moved the F2 rejection to late in the afternoon to make Nick think he was actually F1 this time (he would know that the early FRC is a rejection) - all part of a carefully crafted plan (like letting Nick use SM during filming which was probably also a part of wanting him to feel "special" and "privileged" as he might think an F1 would be). It was a nasty trick and I don't know why they did it but it appears to me to be exactly what they did.

Loved Byron and Mary's FRC. When he spoke in Spanish, swoon. It was my fav until Chris and Des. The setting was better with Byron & Mary, but Prince Sigfried's words knocked it out of the park. JMO

Though Nick didn't make it to the proposal with Andi... so does he really know?

I tend to think that the nighttime frc was done more for aesthetic purposes than because of Kaitlyn's indecision. My gut feeling is that she was confused the week before, but I'm sure that she had made her decision by that day.

I also do think that Nick got played like a fiddle by production and Kaitlyn. If I were him, I would think i had it in the bag and that's not even taking into consideration tabloid reports that she told him she loved him, which I can believe, since CH said she was in love with both.

IMO there's a high probability that he would - he seems to know quite a bit about the show - including what happened on Jason's season - and if he'd ever watched the end of any other season he would know that F2 goes first and F1 is later in the day - after F2.

And even if he didn't already know IMO the producers would have told him. I think they really wanted him to think he was F1 when they knew he wasn't.

I don't think there is anything new about that and I do believe TPTB have used that little trick before.

IMO indeed you're right - there's nothing new or unique about this season in that regard. IMO the producers want genuine emotions at the FRC - heartbreak for F2, surprise and happiness for F1, and maybe some uncertainty from the lead about what F1 is going to do. They do that by making F2 believe they are F1, F1 uncertain about where they stand, and keeping the lead off balance and a bit uncertain about what F1 is going to do.

IMO they have had varying degrees of success at this from season to season. Some leads will try to spare their F1 by giving them clues before the FRC and others won't - or don't get the chance. Sometimes the lead has been suspected of telling F2 and F3 they were not F1 but I don't think the producers could ever prove that. But they will always try to do this.

If the FRC is at the Mansion, I would imagine time of day is not as important since I'm not sure it's possible to film a sunset in that location, right?

You could film at sunset, but it wouldn't have the dramatic effect that they usually look for at sunset.
