I think people don't care.
People carry their phones like lifelines and are certainly not going to turn them over to basically strangers because they are told to do so. Heck, there are people who won't turn them over when they are being robbed/mugged.

I'm not sure they have much reason to care at this point as it's very early on. They will tighten things up when they get down to the final 6.

Besides that, they can edit the show to make the public believe anything they want. Even with a spoiled ending, people are still on the F2 train going full blast every season.
