MHO, whoever Chris chose, was his leading lady for a while (if not for long).
I don't believe a second that he didn't know who to choose or that he was conflicted, not in the last 3 weeks. Scared to make a decision that could end up in a break-up - yes. Fearing that she might not want to live in his hometown - yes. Afraid to find out that a person he fell for during the show is not "the perfect match" outside of the bubble - maybe. But I don't question that he knew who to choose.
Whether Whitney or Becca.
If he chose Whitney, it means he never really fell for Becca and she was just a fling, an interesting infatuation, but it ended the day he decided to take this as a serious matter.
If he chose Becca, as I believe, then Whitney never had a chance (also just my believe).

To make things interesting, all the stories that are given as a spoiler are scripted stories ... meaning, even RS was given a scripted version of events, which makes me think, that he is really fed by TPTB (or someone on their behalf). The real, true version of how things happened and progressed probably only TPTB know, since I think even Chris is not aware of all the mechanism in TPTB "brain".

They are talking about the new bachelorette, right?

I think they are talking about the choice between Britt and Kaitlyn as the next ette. BachelorNation is split down the middle. Not many folks are talking about Becca or Whitney being the next lead. I read that they are hoping Britt will redeem herself at WTA Monday night. I really think they want Britt as the next lead - Kaitlyn is a little too out there for most viewers.

I totally agree! I think Chris even said it was someone who he determined early on was a frontrunner.

So if Becca isn't even in the running, then how do we explain the comments from her dad to his coworkers? A joke that fell flat? Red herring? question

And I'm completely opposite! While I like the love story I see unfolding with Becca and Chris, and tend to favor it over the Whitney and Chris one, I am more a fan of Becca than Chris. Some of his actions and words have left me thinking he was far from Prince Charming, so maybe she realizes while he was a nice guy and she was falling in love, he might not be the one for her. There may be someone else better suited for her that she will meet and better appreciate down the road. If she is indeed F1, then I'll be happy for her and her love story I watched unfold. I guess for me, as long as Becca is happy, and she appears to be post season, I'm happy for her regardless the outcome.

This is me. If Chris picks Becca, I will be happy and probably like him more, since I like Becca so much. If Chris doesn't pick Becca, then she is good and I am happy for her to be happy.

Count me in as someone who does not totally believe this story in the mags. If anyone leaves, then it is Whitney and something CH said in his blog and interview lends itself to this theory. I do not believe W is really in love with Chris, she is in love with the idea of Chris and it is possible she left when she realised his heart was with Becca. CH in his blog mentioned that Whitney blurted out 'I love you' not because she felt it but because she was afraid her sister had messed things up for her. This nugget is very vital to how the story ends IMO.
CS said he knew from the beginning Becca was going to be around for a long time as most of the past Leads have also said (alli, JPG, Sean, all didn't feel the need for a quick one on one because they knew the F1s were people they were sure to keep around but took people they weren't too sure about a connection with on the early dates to determine if they could have the connection). Chris has also used his blogs to tell us how beautiful (more than the Bayou) Becca is, how he felt an instant connection that told him she was going to be there a long time, how he didnt care about her virginity or love status, how his heart settled after talking to her, how he got her the statement bracelets and necklace, how he is crazy about her, how easy and real their time together is, how he would wrestle anything to protect her, how his soul and gut made him know he couldn't say goodbye. She is who he want and as she has said,her heart is all in a 100%. If however he chose Whitney ( i do not believe this for a second), she has to know that Becca would have been his first choice and be strong enough like Molly to make it work!

So I am just going on what I see on my screen and feel in my self. I like Becca she made this show fun for me.

Now, I have to say, they don't really fall in real love until after the show, so it truly doesn't matter what they show on my screen. The real relationship happens after the show, both Sean and Cat and Des and Chris have said this.

We have been asked to keep the Whitney thread a Whitney thread, can we also keep the Becca thread to a Becca thread? Perhaps a Becca vs. Whitney thread or something?

I have a question for Becca fans who have watched all of this season. If Chris had eliminated Becca at f3, who do you think would be f1? Based mostly on the edit.

I don't even believe that, hearsay. No proof. Plus he wouldn't blab something like that. I also think Becca would command much more $$ than 250K.

How did this story even come out? Is it a reliable source? To me just a thought that Becca's dad would talk about her paycheck is questionable (who would want to give away how much money they earn?), then to discuss her possible gig, when the final isn't over yet, especially when on SM they are actively promoting it (whole family) and contributing to increase the suspense (not giving us any "hard" evidence) ... why would he "blew it" now. Dunnoo... I never believe this kind of stories unless proved, even if Becca would turn out to be a Bette (but I highly doubt it).

I'm usually sceptical about hearsay as well, especially coming from nameless sources, but didn't this come from someone a poster here knows in person? Sounds more credible than a lot of the stuff out there IMO. But I agree, he wouldn't go around telling people that if it was true, so assuming he did, then why? Maybe it was just a joke the lady who heard it didn't get.
