I just don't get how we KNOW it was Becca that left. What if it's Whitney that left cause she realized that A) her feelings weren't there as much as she thought or B) she realized his feelings weren't there as much as she thought.

I seriously doubt that Becca is the default and more than likely, she is his choice all along and Whit is the one to leave.


BTW, is there a new article out or are we still talking about the old one?

I can see with one eye open and a few glasses of wine in me but hey. I can understand if B walks away, but if she gets dumped at the end. Do you realize what ppl will say about the bachelor. This will look so bad on them. Oh and it wa my husband pointing out the thigh thing lmao... You guys make a great book to read sort of speak. ;) well good night all. I would. It's honestly a bit disrespectful to say we only think what we think because of RS.

I know I should bring this to the Whitney thread as you yourself told me earlier today, but, I still have to find anything post filming that really points to Whit as F1 but RS.

With Becca, there are the LA trips when Chris is there, there is the necklace, there is the SM stuff from Becca, her family and Chris for that matter, there is the song clues and numerous other situations and circumstances that are TOTALLY adding up to Becca being F1. For the life of me, I can't find the US Magazine article that is so prevelant on this thread today so it makes me think we are now talking about a new one. If so, I'd love to see it for myself so I can make up my own mind. If it is the old one that is rearing it's ugly head again, IMO, there is just so much after the fact that puts that article to rest in my mind at least.

Someone mentioned it earlier in this thread and I had wondered it myself since that old article came out and had seen the Chris/Becca connection, couple that along with the lines from Whit herself with regards to if she's not feeling it or seeing it with her and Chris anymore, she'd bow out. She told her sister that during HTD's and had told us the viewers it during ITM's. I whole heartedly think it's entirely possible that it's Whit that bails and NOT Becca as the article suggests(but doesn't come flat out and say).

I can't remember for sure if it's the same article that I am talking about or another one, but there was something mentioned about the confident one with a blank line after it and the one that is questioning things, again with another blank line, then at the end I thought I saw(memory may be bad) something saying that it is the one that was questioning things is the one that Chris chose. Of course, the confident one in my mind is Whit. She was all in and wanted babies night one. The one being real and questioning things is of course Becca. I just feel that with what we've seen post season and on my tv screen, it's Becca the whole way. Chris is just wanting to make sure that what Becca said on the FD about Arlington not being off the table is how she truely feels.

Ok, sorry but stepping off my soap box now. I will try to mind my p's and q's the rest of the night....

Count me in as someone who does not totally believe this story in the mags. If anyone leaves, then it is Whitney and something CH said in his blog and interview lends itself to this theory. I do not believe W is really in love with Chris, she is in love with the idea of Chris and it is possible she left when she realised his heart was with Becca. CH in his blog mentioned that Whitney blurted out 'I love you' not because she felt it but because she was afraid her sister had messed things up for her. This nugget is very vital to how the story ends IMO.
CS said he knew from the beginning Becca was going to be around for a long time as most of the past Leads have also said (alli, JPG, Sean, all didn't feel the need for a quick one on one because they knew the F1s were people they were sure to keep around but took people they weren't too sure about a connection with on the early dates to determine if they could have the connection). Chris has also used his blogs to tell us how beautiful (more than the Bayou) Becca is, how he felt an instant connection that told him she was going to be there a long time, how he didnt care about her virginity or love status, how his heart settled after talking to her, how he got her the statement bracelets and necklace, how he is crazy about her, how easy and real their time together is, how he would wrestle anything to protect her, how his soul and gut made him know he couldn't say goodbye. She is who he want and as she has said,her heart is all in a 100%. If however he chose Whitney ( i do not believe this for a second), she has to know that Becca would have been his first choice and be strong enough like Molly to make it work!

I still believe Becca is the F1 despite what that magazine tried to imply. I know they were right about Andi's season, but that was a different situation. The spoilers were right and there was a video as evidence, so the ending was rather anticlimactic. They wanted to drum up interest for the ATFR, which turned out to be the most talked about event of the season, so I'm not surprised they leaked out stuff about the F2 not being over her etc. This season, however, the spoilers are wrong (if Becca is really the F1), so they may very well just be running with it. I mean we've heard from the producers how they wanted to really up their game this season in order to make it the best ever, the most shocking and the most romantic. Why would they then ruin the whole thing by giving away the not-very-romantic ending two weeks in advance? It makes no sense. If I were them I'd be leaking false spoilers on purpose just to make the finale all the more shocking.

Another guess is that the mag simply drew their own conclusions based on the spoiler, the last episode and the previews. Because it does sound plausible for those who haven't been paying as close attention as we have. Spoiler is that Whitney is the F1, we see Chris thinking about sending Becca home because she's not fully in yet, a preview of his mother questioning Becca and dad saying Chris wants Becca, yet they're shown arguing. Logical conclusion --> Becca couldn't commit, so Chris chose Whitney. They don't even need a source to write that story.

I don't really believe Whitney would leave. She's been too immersed in the bubble the entire time to wake up now. I also don't think she realises Chris's heart is pulling him in the other direction, because she doesn't strike me as very observant. Not a diss, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. I just have a hard time imagining she would willingly give up, no matter what she may have said before.

IF Whitney is the F1 though and Becca the Bachelorette, then I'll be thrilled. I don't think they could ruin Becca's character, because she's been her true self the entire time. Past leads have tried very hard to present themselves in favourable light as contestants, not realising that keeping up with the facade will be next to impossible as the lead. I don't think Becca will have that problem, since she's not trying to be something she's not.

Mindless I agree with you ... except about Whitney not being observant, I believe she is, the problem is in the bubble, I honestly think her "perfect image" of Chris is clouding her otherwise good observational skills. I prefer not to discuss further, because I've seen there is no interest.

But I'm really curious how things will play out. Can't wait for 9th. Also, what is really "ironic", that Chris according to the spoilers/mags wants the certainty ... he wants all in - NOW ... he wants marriage and kids and he is not willing to postpone this ...

since Becca seems to me very sincere girl, (TPTB even named her "a voice of reason") so she is viewing their time together reasonably, doesn't want to jump to conclusions and scream from the top of the mountain that she loves him just so that The Show would get some perfect location shot, with a perfect scenery and sunset view to advertize, she wants the continuity of getting to know him, see their real compatibility in every day life situations, to be sure this is really IT (for marriage - one time only thing). Since she does feel HE could just well be The One, just can't prove it, since she has no previous experience to compare with... so she only asks for time ... and then she would be ready even to move...

how ironic I say, now neither does Chris ... meaning, he is spending way more time in CA, he is in no rush to start a family, he is talking about taking their time, no planning for a wedding ...
Why then would he asked for all-in-right-now on FRC?

^^^^Chris must have been under a lot of pressure to put a ring on it because of the non commitment of the last bachelor. TPTB wanted their happy ending of a proposal, a yes, and a twirl.

Also... Whitney could have been the SAFE haven for him.  Placed by the producers to ensure that if he didn't find anyone else he could just pick her all along and get a decent story with a ring at the end and they would have something better than what happened with the Juan Pablo season.  Just my hunch... especially with the other wacky "characters" that seemed to be placed or "highly encouraged" by the producers (Ashley S., Kelsey) I feel like maybe they gave him 15 REAL potential girls and the rest were there to play the characters they were hired for.  Maybe I'm nuts but it's just a hunch...

I have always felt like this every season - that there are girls/men on there for filler. I also feel this is true for other reality tv shows - such as The Voice and American Idol - they bring in professional, polished singers for auditions and battle rounds, to up the quality of the contestants, to make a great show, then send them home before live shows. Only the "real" contestants stay. This is why so many good singers go home early and the inferior ones stay. This is also why so many seemingly potentially good matches for the lead seem to go home early, every season. This season has been crazy on so many levels, and I do think it was a bit more scripted to be filled with craziness. I even thought maybe this would be the last season, and they were going on all on a comedy season this time.

Also a couple seconds later when he says "I'm the luckiest man alive", he is with Becca! That could be Whitney he's saying good-bye to. Also back at the rose ceremony when he's telling the women they are welcome to go home, look at Whitney's face and that little guilty frown as she looks down.

Her hair is too blond to be Becca. Becca doesn't wear any rings either. Are they outside? Is that snow on the ground?
