I'm not so sure about that. I remember at the MTA in Jillian's season, a lot of the guys ragged on Jake and he became the Bachelor. Of course, this was only after Reid and Kiptyn turned it down. Ryan will only be the Bachelor if Ben turns it down.

I'm thinking their first choice is Ben right now as well. From the beginning CH has been saying we will all fall in love with him. He was in the 5 to watch which the next lead is usually in and he said something like wait until after Monday when you see the F2 guy (or something like that). I have always thought that Ryan was the safety net to Ben not taking the gig. I didn't really feel anyone was being showcased to be the next lead last night... except for maybe Ames (but he is with Jackie allegedly).

Also from an editing stand point it is very clear (well to me anyway). Ben's journey was showcased throughout the season. He had personal growth and healing which we all got to see. He is able to open up again. And also, going back to the beginning of the season Ben has alot of comical PI's regarding life in the house and such. Just everything about his story reminded me of CL from the beginning... and we know how bad they wanted CL to do it!

I think Mickey or Ben C. would make a much better choice than Ryan or Ames. Ryan wants it, I know, but I also get a cheese factor from him. Ames, bless his heart, would just get eaten up and spit out and it would not be pretty!! I just don't think he's had any serious relationships and is very awkward in social situations (almost to the point of disability). JMO-- wish them all well and hope that they do eventually find their own cupcake! :awesome:

Are Ashley & JP in LA for viewing party, & if so I wonder if that's why Ali's driving up there? Think she and Ashley could become good friends - similar journeys with their insecurities highlighted..

or - are Ashley & JP in NYC gearing up for talk show appearances? does anyone know?

I doubt Ash & JP are able to make the viewing party - they've got JKL tonight and then they've gotta catch a redeye to NYC for Regis and Kelly tomorrow morning.

Thanks TLF! Didn't know they were scheduled for JKL & Regis & Kelly.. actually they could do both a party and JKL today - not sure what time JKL tapes but I remember Ali & Roberto did both last year. :D
