A Christmas Wish

This is a poem I wrote for Trista on our First Christmas nine years ago. The Bachelorette had not yet aired so we were not allowed to hang out in public I Thought it may be good to share it this holiday Season...

Christmas Wish.

Snowflakes to fall and paint Christmas white
Gifts under a tree wrapped up just right
Music, Cookies, lights and a feast
All things Christmas that matter the least

I know there’s more to it, there has to be
For so long blind, I just couldn’t see
Friends and Family, there’s nothing above
/>Spending the day with the ones you love

It took some time to find what I missed
A wish that would remain forever on my list
An image, an idea, no face and no name
Until out of no where my Angel finally came

Down from the heavens and into my life
Fell the love that one day I’ll call my wife
Trista, I love you and I always will
You make me so happy and happier still

Soon will be the days when no longer I hide
When we walk cheek to cheek, hand in hand, side by side
You complete my dreams, leave my list wish-less
You are the meaning, the love that is Christmas

Trista's 1 of the 3 lovely cover girls on the new In Touch, sharing the space with the equally amazing looking Ali and Ashley. They're all in bikinis on the cover, and there's a cute 2 page picture of them jumping in unison inside. It seems they had a lot of fun at the shoot together.

Trista gets the offensive headline of "Botox and boob job plans!!" on the cover. But on the 1 page that's solely about her she has some very frank and funny comments in the 1 page article where she talks about wanting to look good for Ryan, how breastfeeding affected her breast size, and stuff like that. She said when she turned 39, she was like "Oh I need Botox!" Honestly I think she was just being kind of silly and conversational and In Touch turned it all into a headline. Trista looks fantastic at the shoot.

That caption sucks and Trista's none to happy about it. Can't blame her at all.

Had a really fun day shooting with @intouchweekly & yes, I've considered a lift after nursing & botox after turning 39, but CONSIDERED! UGH!
