No, it is 8:15. Not that it really matters. I just wanted to point out that he date didn't start around 11:30 and end around 6. It is from 8:15 to around 7:15-7:30. I am not making this point as a reason behind him being F1, just that his date was not much shorter than Ben's as some originally thought.

I see 10:15 to 20 on my tv. Ben's started about 11:30 to at least 10 p.m. Still longer imo although probably doesn't really matter. It just seemed strange that all of JP's dates seem shorter.

Looking at this from another angle, does anyone really think that Ashley told the producers which guys she was most interested in and they purposely shortened/lengthened certain dates to accommodate her? If one date was longer or shorter than the other, it had more to do with how long it took to set up camera angles, geographical issues, weather issues (if it rained in the middle of Ben's as I have heard, that probably delayed the whole shooting by several hours, which might account for why it ran so late, and not that Ashley was behind it, unless you think she's controlling the weather now), and who knows what else. To read anything more into the length of the dates is IMO reaallly stretching.

How many destinations did they go to?

Ben had a biking, picnic, winery portion before the meal with family

Chris Harrison said in his TV Guide interview that Ben and Ashley also shopped at the market to get items for their picnic.

Here in Northern California it gets dark early because of the the day light savings time , so i thought Bens date looked dark because of it , doesn't all 4 HTDs get the same amount of time ? or is it up to Ashley when its time to go ?

Ahh interesting -- I think we've being shown a consistent pattern here. Ben is getting a jam-packed, lots of activity dates vs. JP who's getting mellow dinner and hangout, maybe sightseeing dates ... It would be telling based on what Ashley prefers. the many activities also involve a lot of camera setup etc.. like ironcat mentioned so it's not beyond the realm of possibilities that many activities involves lots of setup and cleanup for the filming as well and thus longer dates...

It seems to be a pattern emerging in recent seasons... Emily also got very low-energy, less activity type dates. Don't recall this for Ali's or Jill's season... (tactfully jumping over the Pavelka season there cos I didn't watch nor have any interest in that season)

They arrived at Ben's mom's house at 7 p.m. so had to be around 10 that Ashley left with dinner, talking, PI's, etc.

I think they must set up the meal portion with the family so they know when to cook for so doubt they changed anything due to rain with Ben's date. All of the pics up until the porch ones were in the sun.

The biking was to Sonoma to shop for the picnic items and the tour of the winery was obvious. The rest was a picnic. Maybe Ashley wanted more time with Ben doing things that mean something to him?

They do set up the meal portion with the family, but I remember Wes commenting that they made his family wait, with a film crew in tow, for hours, maybe until midnight, to have their dinner with Jill because of the business with Jake at the hotel, that was shot before they were able to go to Wes' family home. The poor family was starving and the film crew wouldn't let them eat!

So they have no problem delaying the family portion of the date if necessary. They work on Fleiss' schedule, nobody else's. Ben's dinner very possibly was originally scheduled to start earlier but got delayed due to rain. Mom and Julia would just have to wait.

Another thing that might factor into how long the shoots run is how well the family is able to "make good TV" during their portion. If they are inhibited or too nervous being filmed, it could slow things down. There are so many outside factors that determine how long a shoot will run.
