^ Or maybe getting paid to be on a float that will be shown on television for approximately 20 seconds isn't something they want. Not everyone will do anything for money. Perhaps they'd rather spend their first NYE together attending a fun ball that will help benefit Atlanta's children's hospital and they can be home with family and friends versus flying out to California, flying home for a couple of days and then flying back out for the premiere.

Or it can even be they have planned to go to this ball for a while now. Attending this charity ball is straight in line with what they've done for the past six months. Almost every single event they attend is some form of charity event. Good for them.

To avoid confusion, here is the press release from ABC dated October 28 2014.

To be fair IMO S/C J/A probably already had their plans in place for NYE and declined as I'm sure both of those couples were asked and see no reason why they wouldn't be.

Des and Chris were asked IMO because their wedding is in a few weeks, another successful couple. Sarah and Marquel as per their description are fan favourites.

J/A probably knew for some time now they would be attending the charity ball. They have travelled a lot, so I'm sure they are happy to spend NYE together in Atlanta at the beautiful venue.

Joining the dashing Mr. Soules, who was sent home by Andi Dorfman last season on The Bachelorette, will be host Chris Harrison as well as a few of the married couples who have emerged from the various Bachelor shows. The float will be adorned in thousands of roses (fitting on many levels), as well as champagne flutes, and one of the show's most iconic images -- the hot tub. Will it be packed with like 17 shirtless guys? Wait and see!

Ashley and JP Rosenbaum just had a baby, so they may not be up for a commitment like that quite yet, though fans would love to see them on the float. That would seemingly leave Catherine and Sean Lowe, Molly and Jason Mesnick and Ryan and Trista Sutter as the likely float candidates. However, the show may end up going with a combination of recently engaged and already married couples to give fans a mix of their favorites.

^ The original press release from ABC on October 28th didn't have that information about Des and Chris in it or the fan favorites. It appears that everything that's in bolded black, in the actual article the second paragraph is bolded as well, was added later considering we weren't told until very recently who was actually on it and Inquisitr is just like a gossip site without any real knowledge of what ABC would do. The person working directly with the float who talked about it in the most recent article umngirl posted and the very original press release from ABC certainly made it seem like this float was for celebrating Chris Soules and the four married couples from the franchise.

Of course people can have different opinions on this, but IMO when you have Chris, CH, and the four married couples, that equals 10 people. For a float that isn't overly large, I would think that would be the top amount of people. Since two married couples couldn't attend, they needed four more people to do so, but that's just my opinion.

Regardless, good for the people on the float and for those staying home. I'm sure everyone will have a great New Years Eve and Day.

Thanks Ash!  I am happy Josh and Andi are staying home in Atlanta for New Year's Eve to celebrate with family and friends and attend the charity event.

So in my opinion, Jodi were probably asked too but they knew they were going to the premiere so that is a lot of traveling back and forth, plus they had plans too. Does not really matter anyway. ;) Sooo happy they will be at the premiere so we really get to see and hear them for more than just a couple seconds.  I am hoping Seancat will be at the premiere too.  

I actually think it is smart to have Des and Chris on the float with Molly and jason because the four of them are close and I am sure they will have fun.  Not sure about Marquel but maybe he will be around again for BIP3.  

Hope we get some cute pictures of Jodi on New Year's Eve.  Can't wait to see what Andi wears.

This will be memories for them. Isn't this where they had the basketball challenge and Josh's team lost and the other team got the extra time with Andi. But Andi said in her People blog that she went up after the group cocktail party to see the "other" guys that had lost because she felt bad for them. But we know who the "other" guy is that she really wanted to see; right?

I agree Laura Andi is very beautiful. Since you saw her in person it looks like she has a few freckles on her nose area. Is that correct? If so I think the freckles add a little feistiness to her beauty. I saw where the Mohegan sun is in CT. I think that is where Josh sisters boyfriend lives or goes to college there. maybe they picked this signing to see them. That sounds exciting. I'm also hoping because of MM posting about Stephanie always wanting sisters means everything is about to go public. Can't wait!!!I love how people can't believe how much more gorgeous they are in person. They so compliment each other. Neither one is more gorgeous than the other. Any news about their living situation? Are they moving into a bigger place? One more question on the season premiere is it just cs, ch and who else besides andi and josh? Just noticed that Josh favored a tweet from Christina Huber who saw them at the Mixx in KC. She said they are way to beautiful to be real humans.

I just can't over how everyone says the are more beautiful in person. Laura and Jolena got to see that for themselves.
