I think Ashley has used that term several times about Ben...........he is the total package for HER!!

if i'm not mistaken she never say "Ben is the total package FOR ME" just "Ben is the total package" or i don't know in what episode she said so Coastal ?

Kelad, you make a great point regarding Constantine-- up until his HTD, I knew nothing of him. Don't know why they couldn't have shown a little more of his personality earlier.

Lucas, thanks for bringing this up. When she said it, she seemed to emphasize "for me". It was just a little different than what she has stated with anyone else. Much like one would say-- "you're a great guy and have everything a girl could want, it's just that I've fallen in love with...." I think that she has made connections with other guys, it's just that her feelings with her F1 are stronger; and, in my eyes, her F1 is JP. I understand if others see her connection stronger with another-- this is just how I see it. Can't wait to see tonights episode!!

Yep, there's no need to speculate about anything with the phrase "total package." Ashley blogged that Ben is the "total package" in her ep5 blog and said JP is "the total package for me" in ep6 in HK.

Is the word "package" Bachelor-speak? I have to say that I have never said that about a guy, including my hubby. :giggle:

IMO, the slow tortoise race will be the winner..........after being married for 23 years, I know that the romantic connection that you share might not be all it's cracked up to be and will fizzle out as you get older......the solid connection that you have as friends, emotional connections will far outlast the rest. That steady emotional connection that Ben/Ash have is what wil matter. IMO

I know what you mean BG!! I have heard it used in other contexts when refering to "all the essential elements" that a girl would want in a significant other.



It's use should not be confused with "his package"-- which is a totally different meaning... can't believe I went there; I feel like I'm channeling richlp!!



ETA-- agreed hvg. If you're luck enough to find both friendship and passion in your spouse, you really do have it all. I can't imagine Ashley would settle for less.

I think the whole package or total package is a common enought term and I'd heard it long before the Bach.
