Some (and by some I don't mean everyone, so chill) who wants Ben to win will say she is cruel and heartless for dragging him along like they do every season to the F2, she should have picked him because he is better than the rest.

Some (and by some I don't mean everyone so you guys chill out too) who wanted JP to win will still conclude that the season was way to obvious and boring because it was spoiled from the start and a waste of time to watch.

Okay, now that I got that out of my system, I'm chillin'! 🆒

Just for good measure I'll add JMO Episode 8 - 7/18 Hometown dates - Discussion - Spoilers - Page 53 2248969230

CA, I agree with what you're saying. For me personally, I was not looking forward to this season-- I thought it would be much too boring. That being said, I have fallen in love with Ashley-- think she is the best and very "real". I wasn't thrilled with any of her guys pre-show and had to see their personalities before I was really intrigued. Even with RS, I waited until episode 3 or 4 before I declared one way or the other. So, even though (or maybe because) I see a love story, I have truly enjoyed the ride!!

How can you help it when the music starts to play, And your ability to reason is swept away
Oh-oh-oh, heaven on earth is all you see, You're out of touch with reality
And now you cry but when you do-- Next time around someone cries for you

If you want to say that Ashley is only attracted to having sex with JP ... everyone understands what you mean. If you want to say that Ashley was only interested in having a friendship with Ames but didnt want to go to bed with him, everyone understands that.

Ashley wants to have sex with JP. That's a true statement that I think we can agree on. But that is not the sum total of his edit as a character.

rofl rofl rofl It's pretty obvious, isn't it? She did say that was the key to a lasting relationship. But for women, it really comes down to this: We want sex with the person that we have an emotional connection with. This is why women are different than men. JMO

Ashley has already told us that she doesn't think she hides her feelings well. When Eileen asks if she's put Ashley "on the spot", Ashley responds, "You can put me on the spot as much as you want." Ashley's "role" didn't require her to be that open.

Then when Eileen tells Ashley she doesn't want to see her son hurt again, Ashley responds, "I am smitten by your son. We have something that is very special to me."It's one thing for Ashley to hide her feelings from F4, F3, F2. As hard as that might be, they are adults who knew what they signed up for. But Ashley didn't have to respond so lovingly to Eileen. She could have said something like, "You're right, it's hard. But I just have to stay open and trust the process."

If I were Ashely, which obviously I am not, I couldn't have given such open answers to anyone but the mother of my F1.
I have a funny feeling that people are going to really dislike Ashley, at the end of this.

Yup, not wavering at all.
I've seen enough evidence to definitely support the Ben F1.

yeah, you are probably right and I've been there before myself, so guilty (Reid really comes to mind - heh); though I could not bring myself to bash Jillian because she is a sweetheart. But I just realized something about myself. I know people watch for all kinds of reasons but I guess I'm most invested in watching this junky show when I'm invested in somebody - most usually, but not always, the lead. This time around I feel so protective of Ashley; the more criticism she has gotten, the more protective I've felt, because it is obvious (to me at least) that she is not a moron, not a bad or lightweight person and not someone who would ever intentionally hurt somebody. I just can't stand the thought of somebody so normal and decent and innocuous being painted as some bad person because she fell for the so-called wrong guy or maybe even didn't fall in love enough to choose either guy (and I agree this 2nd scenario seems completely unlikely at this point - she just glows like a woman in love).

If nothing else I think she should get major props for choosing a stellar F5 (JMO - I know YMMV) and the very best F2. How can she possibly go that wrong either way? Whomever ended up F2 is clearly doing just fine. Love awaits them all no matter what the outcome. I guess I'm just hoping this time, maybe for the sake of the board, if nothing else, that all He** doesn't break loose over the outcome.

2observe.I have a strong feeling you are going to be wrong.
I seriously doubt it, lol. I'm still trying to figure out why we didn't see Ashley bring a gift to JP's family, if he's F1. Why would we see her giving gifts to her F3 and F2, but not her F1? Especially since she said she loved his family. Makes no sense at all. It only makes sense(imo) if Constantine and Ben are Ashley F2 and F1 guys.

FWIW , PBMax, I was not crazy about Brad from the first go round, I
loved what I saw initially between Chantal and Brad but by the time the
Roo story combined with the SI Date had rolled around I was not
interested in a Brad-Chantal matchup. I love Chantal; I respect Emily's
decisionmaking process, particularly in light of her daughter - she
definitely has her priorities straight, and I feel for Brad because I do
believe in my heart that he has had experiences that make having an
intimate rock solid relationship with women difficult. That is not a
knock against him. I did not bash him then and I'm not bashing him
now. After the SI I hoped that Brad would not choose Chantal and I
expressed that I hoped that Em and Brad would take it slow and easy and
invest in counseling to strengthen their relationship. That is not a
knock against them; that was hoping the best for them. Emily has a good
head on her shoulders and has tried to do the responsible thing for her
daughter. She gets big kudos from me. Chantal is happy. I wish that
for Emily and Brad as well.

Just curiosity getting the best of me here 2observe.. may I ask why? I love hearing everyone's opinions on the final outcome.
When everyone finds out that Ashley chose Ben, they are going to be very upset about the indications that she would not break JP's heart. jmo
