I only used Jill and Ali because they are the most current Bachlorettes. It looks like the same pattern is being used for Ashley as well. The pattern shows Ben as F1, Constantine as F2 (originally) and JP as F3; and, we already know that Ames was F4. This pattern is also consistent with the fact that we were shown Ashley bring gifts to her F1 and F2 guys' families. We saw her bring wine for Constantine family and flowers for Ben's family. This means to me that JP and Ames were F3 and F4. jm

I'm sure that Ashley brought gifts for all four, but we only saw her bring gifts for her F1 and F2. I recall Ali bring gifts to Roberto and Chris L's families. If we saw Ali brings for all four guys, then the most expensive gifts were the ones for her F1 and F2. So what were the gifts that Ali gave her F3 and F4 families???

Really? You think she gave crapppier gifts to her F3 and 4 families? It's not like she's paying for them anyway, production is.

My point was that if TPTB showed the viewing audience all four gifts, then they did something to show the difference between F1, F2 and F3, F4. They always do, so don't ask me why. I think it's a production thing.

No, we really did not see the gifts, we saw the wine on the table and because they made a reference to it we knew it was the gift. As for the chocolate we did not see it, nor did we see the gift Robertos' mother gave Ali. All of this was brought out in Ali's blog.

Before I respond to this, I'm going to see if I can find Ali HTD with each guy. I remember Chrs L. and Frank; but, I don't recall her F4 guy. Does anyone recall his name? Thanks.

Production may do something to show a slight edge one have over the other, but it is not with the gifts the lead bring to the family.....That would be very tacky!

Ben was practically non-existent in the show until the orphanage group date on episode 4 where he got the GRD rose. JP was one of the front runners since episode 1. JP had a good lead over Ben in terms of emotional and physical connection with Ashley and you can see that in the pajama date, the cute SC of Ashley playfully hugging JP's leg and their passionate kisses at the beach , how pained and concerned she was when JP was being pummeled by Mickey in Thai boxing and her happiness when JP won the fight etc, etc. IMO,JP was Ashley's F1 since episode 3.

Ben tried his best to win Ashley's heart but JP had already won her heart completely on their HK date , episode 6,which according to Ashley in her blog was the start of her honest, truthful love story. JP also said in his Vlog that their HK date was the turning point and the episode that he will never forget.

Alis' final four were: Roberto, ChrisL, Frank and Kirk

I'm sorry, but I'm not tracking this conversation. Is it an actual pattern that either: a) we only see the lead bring gifts to the F1 and F2 families, or b) if we see all 4 families get gifts then the most expensive ones go to F1 and F2? Or is this speculation? This is an honest question because I've never heard that before and haven't noticed it in the past...I always just assumed the producers go out that morning and buy a bottle of wine or flowers or whatever, and hand it to the lead as they get out of the car.

Thanks. I wasn't able to find Frank's or Kirk's HTD, but I was able to find Roberto's and Chris L.'s HTD. I saw Ali bringing a large gift bag to Roberto's family, but I did not see Ali bring a gift to Chris L. (although I heard her mentioned the wine). So, I would not say just how, during Ali's Show, they showed the difference. But, I do know that with Ashley's Show, it's pretty clear that the viewers saw what Ashley brought Constantine and what she brought Ben. The fact that we didn't see anything for JP and Ames, and the fact that Ames was let go at F4; PLUS, the fact that JP is standing in the F3 position at the F3 Toast, it stands to reason (at least to me) that JP was F3. But remember, it's just my opinion. :D

Ben wasn't shown in the beginning because Bentley was the focus for her F1, remember? You only saw Ben emerge after Bentley left, making Ben the new F1. It was after Bentley left that I notice Ashley referring to her husband being there. What has Ben done, aside from just being who he is, to win Ashley's heart??? I remember Ben talking about how Ashley was "buzzing" around him to get his attention. jmo
