It was because the whole idea of JP's edit going "south" was predicated on the fact that he was dangerously jealous, moody, temperamental, had a dark side. Did I leave anything out? Now we know that it's something else entirely.

I hope this is the last we have to hear about any more psycho business! These are four great guys who are all worthy of being in final 4!

Now I am off to eagerly watch the show here on the west coast!

Enjoy the show! JP does discuss his difficult times in Taipai with his brother. His brother is the one
who says that it's understandable, when you care for someone.

It really shows how unreliable some people's sources, *cough* opinions are ~ when they were based
on previews from last week's show!

Thanks! The show just ended about twenty minutes ago and I am trying to get my thoughts together. It's amazing when you see how JP's brother totally understood why he had such a tough time in Taipai. And he's right. He also knows about how difficult this is for JP after his other relationship ended badly. I was very touched by his mother's fears and concerns for her son who she loves so much.

I really understand where JP is at. I know what it's like to try to put yourself and your heart out there after having your trust betrayed. It's funny, because I have been writing down my feelings as I watch the episodes. When JP told Ashley at the skating rink that he knows that he could get his heart broken, but he felt that he had to put it all out there so that he would know in the end that he gave it his all and would have no regrets, I almost jumped out of my chair. I wrote those exact words about him when I was thinking about everything late last night. That's why I thought that his jealousy had a lot to do with his fear of being hurt again. That has been confirmed both by his family and himself in this episode.

This is unreal, the way I have been able to sense what JP is feeling and why he reacts the way he does. I am not a psychic or mindreader, but I have felt a real connection with him from the beginning.

I also wanted to say that in the FD preview, that is totally about Constantine leaving and not about JP. They are playing with us. What concerns me the most now after watching it, is Ashley's sister. Wow! I never saw that coming. Now I have to try and catch up with everything!

I think these were as a whole my 4 favorite HTDs. Nothing will ever compare for me with Chris' and Ed Lambton remains hands down my favorite bachelor/ette parent. Still as a group, Ash has wonderful families who will welcome her, whoever she chooses.

Ashley has nothing to worry about, JP can handle that sister.

I sometimes (not often, but sometimes) wonder about his personal relationships. He has such a perverse view of what love is like..he likes all the pain and little of the joy.

I re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re watched the teaser and something happened for sure with JP

1. she asks him if he is ready to propose knowing what he knows about her now and his response is : no. not right now

2. she leaves their FD room quickly. She is already 3 steps away when he seems to come up. Then there is a flower petale that is falling from her dress. then black moment and then we see JP with his hand falling down and fixing ahead, unhappy with maybe water in his eyes. Something clearly happened there. It is possible that she tells him about her b****y sister and she is upset, he is upset to do not have the approval of her family and worried that she will reject him... she leaves the room upset..... but in the end it is nothing that dramatic as the end of their story.

3. the voice over is definitely about constantine and we even see his silhouette behind the bushes.

however we see only good things about Ben. We see lot of kisses and cuddles and a voice over saying each that they are falling in love but of course not sure if ashley's matches who with who.

another funny note: JP instead of saying Love word uses IT.....

so the downhill of JP is definitely there to see.

during the conversation at the table JP said that things became REAL between phuket and HK.... what happened between the 2 destination between them???

in the preview when JP and Ash are talking about the proposal, I think there was some splice and dice going and his answer was probably to another question, like would you be ready to get married right away, and he answered "am I ready to do it right now? no." - that really does'nt sound like an answer to her question "do you feel like you're going to know enough about me for us to potentially leave here engaged". Her face didn't look upset so I'm not to worried about how that scene was edited. And the evening part of her date was probably just her getting up to go change into something more comfortable

Am I offbase, or isn't there time for at least 1 more turnaround in the next set of previews?? Do we think it will still look like "uh-oh, trouble ahead for JP" in the preview after FD's, as well as after the MTA??? Or is the rollercoaster likely to do yet another rise & fall??? Can't remember for certain from past seasons......?? (Tho every time I remember that last-second glimpse of Reid at a window holding a ring my stomach still lurches....)

The edit IMO has been all over the map this season, but a lot of times the way a preview leads you to believe one thing happened the total opposite ends up happening when the actual show airs. So a seemingly doom and gloom preview might actually mean something really good happens.

Many of us came from there to here, and many of us still read & post over there. Spoilers are no longer allowed at FoRT.

I think she is head over heels in love with JP and any sadness that happens is her sharing with him the disappointment of the family visit - her sister seems like a big beotch - I mean how would you disapprove of someone so early knowing how Ashley feels? I think the sister is jealous of Ashley's fame and her journey thus far. Ashley is a great girl and I think is very different from her family. Her Dad was an alcoholic and was/is homeless. She is an educated, accomplished girl. I think her family might really devastate her when they come visit - and JP will be there to pick up the pieces.
I didn't see anything that made me think that JP and Ashely aren't going strong. I sure love them as a couple.
