Episode 8 - 7/18 Hometown dates - Discussion - Spoilers

Another thing that I was wondering during the show was when JP's mom was talking about JP getting hurt again... something was mentioned about his relationship with the ex and how he didn't pick up on things...can't really remember what exactly was said but it got me to thinking that it sounds like he was cheated on (love how him and his family aren't mentioning any details to try and trash the girl) and that maybe what's causing him to be jealous of Ashley and the other guys. Maybe it's bringing up old feelings of how hurt he felt when he found out about an affair (total speculation on my part) and that's why he go so moody and why he just so touchy about sharing her.

Isn't that what Brad said the first time. LOL Maybe Ashley told her family about the Bentley situation and because of that they don't think she should get engaged right now. Just throwing something out there, who knows.

ooh, that's a tough one.

But another thing I just remembered... in the middle of me being all sad and teary about Ames, he completely cracked me up with that one statement in the limo... it was something like, "I was going to have adventures with this beautiful woman, and now I'm just going to have adventures by myself, and that's ................................ less enticing." OMG I was at that one! I love Ames!

I love Ames! He is the king of the understatement ... like when the elevator door opened and he says "uh oh ... That was unexpected!" HIL-AR-IOUS!

I got the impression that she cheated on him too. He never has to worry about that with Ashley though and I'm sure he knows it now.

It's another reason why her telling him about the whole Bentley thing in HK was sooo important.. I think that her honest conversation with him is one of the things that made him trust her, and made him feel so confident that what they had was different and special.

The Script is an Irish band. They're good! I encourage y'all to get their two albums. I recently saw their concert when they came here, they're great live! I've asked cupcakes to make a fanvid of The Script's, I'm Yours. So fits JP and Ash. But i think that song takes a backseat because Can't Fight This Feeling takes the cupcake

If you watched The Voice, Xenia (one of Blake's final 2) sang two songs by them. One was her audition song "Break Even" I think is the name. The other one was The Man Who Can't Be Moved ...

Was this discussed yet? I know we shouldn't put too much stock on voice-overs, but this one was MOST interesting...

As Ashley looks at all four photos of the guys before the RC ceremony...

Tonight is going to be so hard
JP photo shown first: If it were up to me,
Moving over to Ames photo: I would take all four guys on more dates but…
Constantine: The truth is I need to start really figuring things out and make some tough decisions…
Ben: Time is running out but…
She touches JP’s photo: I’m in such a great place right now.
All photos but a slow pan out with JP’s strategically in the middle: I’m ready. I’m ready to find my husband…

I re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re watched the teaser and something happened for sure with JP

1. she asks him if he is ready to propose knowing what he knows about her now and his response is : no. not right now

2. she leaves their FD room quickly. She is already 3 steps away when he seems to come up. Then there is a flower petale that is falling from her dress. then black moment and then we see JP with his hand falling down and fixing ahead, unhappy with maybe water in his eyes. Something clearly happened there. It is possible that she tells him about her b****y sister and she is upset, he is upset to do not have the approval of her family and worried that she will reject him... she leaves the room upset..... but in the end it is nothing that dramatic as the end of their story.

3. the voice over is definitely about constantine and we even see his silhouette behind the bushes.

4. I noticed that the date on the beach with Jp was pretty cold...

however we see only good things about Ben. We see lot of kisses and cuddles and a voice over saying each that they are falling in love but of course not sure if ashley's matches who with who.

another funny note: JP instead of saying Love word uses IT.....

so the downhill of JP is definitely there to see.

during the conversation at the table JP said that things became REAL between phuket and HK.... what happened between the 2 destination between them???

I noticed that Ben put her in the car and so did JP but JP leaned in - probably to get one more kiss. Ben was a little more expressive this time and sat a little closer to her :-)

She couldn't stop initiating kisses with JP, though.
