I am past their target age too so I guess MF could care less if I watch or don't, but my admittedly limited knowledge of TV ratings is that the advertisers consider the 18-49 women demo the be all end all for this show.

Now, I'll try to get my sore back and knees that buckle to get me off the couch to use the bathroom AGAIN.

I think so.

There are people every season who tune out because they don't like the lead. Some did it during Andi's season and some during JPab's and others during Sean's because they considered him a Yawn. Of course, many of us stay no matter what.

Just like they lose some viewers, they gain others. Some of those may leave again after the season, but others will stay. The ratings this season have been very good and keep going up with each episode. They are maintaining that all important 18-49 demographic of women. I don't see much changing any time soon.

I agree. I think, at the end of the day, they could really pick anyone (Becca, Jade, Britt, Kaitlyn) and the ratings wouldn't be drastically different with any of them. Some people will hate-watch, some people will watch because they love the lead, some people watch no matter what, etc. They have had so many boring leads, like Jake and Ben, and the show still keeps getting decent ratings.

Oh yeah, I actually watched Emily who I still actively dislike. I am weak, so they probably have me. I did completely abstain for the wee little prince and most of Jake and Jason. But the men always draw me into the bachelorette. I have free reign to objectify hot men in their 20s. Win win for me. Oh and I actually hated Britt less her last two weeks on the show, so if they make her bathe by contract and spend more time on the men and less on her like they did with Chris it might be okay. But MF please, the last two seasons I swore the men were PMSing sometimes. I still do that my self and don't need to watch halfway grown a** men do it on my tv.

That was my point. Obviously there are gonna be people that arent gonna watch certain seasons, but the ratings stay around the same every season. People will watch to cheer the lead on, to hate on the lead, out of boredom, etc. People watch this show consistently no matter what (not all of course, like I said, but the majority.)

Did you all see they announced just 11 of the 12 dancers for Dancing with the Stars? Sounds like good odds Chris MIGHT be on there? There's a reason they are waiting on the 12th and we know what that reason was before.

Please discuss Chris - DWTS in this thread. We have conversations going on in various threads. It's better to keep it in one place rather than have the same questions asked in different threads.

Your post literally had me laughing out loud!  Wee little prince...!  Thank goodness I can record this show and fast-forward through what I can't bear to watch.  I don't mind men showing that they are in touch with their feelings enough to open up to the B'ette, but please BE the grown a** man you profess to be. 

Britt would have the majority of the men begging for her and battling each other to the death to win SQT.  Lots of guys would bond easily with Kaitlyn because she is a "guy's girl" and gorgeous, too.  I'll watch regardless of who TPTB choose as the next B'ette.  Just have lots of hot 20-somethings!
