I hope not either. Ashley has enough hate on her as it is. It's just there was some quotes with both JP and Ben that make me think this will happen.

Ashley: What do you think we're going to be doing in a month from now?
JP: Um, something having do with getting down on a knee, maybe? I don't know.

Ashley: I think we should put them on our mantle.
Ben: Um, and where do you propose we move to?
Ashley: Are you proposing already?

This feels like foreshadowing to me. Has a proposal been brought up with any of the other guys besides JP and Ben?

I hope not, too. But will Ben get the approval from Mom and Sister that he MUST have to move on with Ashley? I'd sure hate it if a guy who might propose to me had to get approval from Mom and Sis or it would be a "no go." I'd get the distinct feeling that I'd be #3 in his life behind Mom and Sis. Did no one else notice this in the previews? I haven't seen it mentioned on this board, though it's been a big topic on another board I'm on.

Reid had a very very similar PI - I think it's just more evidence that Ben isn't F1. But I dont think it's the least bit odd that Ben (or any guy) wants approval from his family as to the woman he's going to marry.

And of course it makes for a terrific soundbite - so many of these lines are rehashed season after season, it just points to more and more producer driven scripted material.

Ian, too had that PI, how if they don't get along with the family, then it won't happen. Same with Ryan (Trista) as well.

Here's what makes me think that Ash's sister may not like either guy. In the bottom sc her sister's black outfit looks to have 2-3 inch tank sleeves. In the preview of Ash and her sis running to meet each other (with Ash wearing the beige blouse), her sisters dress/romper appeared strapless. Are these two black outfits on two separate days?

ETA: Unless it's a halter? In the video you only see her sister's bare back suggesting the out fit is strapless??????

Ames is gone so I now have a conclusive stance.

Ben F1 - Hidden, slow progress. the physical side is edited out. Though does not have physical edit. Ashley states her chemistry with him alla Ali Roberto. Edit trying hard to conceal the chemistry. Though you get it through the way SHE looks at him etc.

JP F2 "Time to get a bedroom physical edit", Very in your face touchy feely (though if one looks closely, one sees it is not as physical as the edit wants you to believe. The kisses are no longer deep throat. Ashley moves away from him etc).
Constantine F3- Guy next door, good all rounder. Sweet. Normal. Cool, everybody loves.. Overconfident and then cannot even say he loves her. JP is going full out in the competition, from the hometown dates, it will be good if he starts to consider him engaged and married to Ashley. Possible he has not looked that far forward. Right now he wants to win the prize, when he is not even open. Yet from edits, he gives the impression he is which shows something not right with JP and Ashley together. too superficial.

Constantine, F3 - Guy next door. Everyone's friend. Likable, personable. Cool guy.

This has been the major red flag in JPs edit for me.(starting episode 3). It's why we see Ash always questioning what is real and what is flamed by the game situation. I happen to agree with you that Ben is F1.

I actually see the exact same thing - and that's why I question it. JP on a silver platter never ever sat well with me -- but I'm just not seeing the same connection Ash has with JP with anyone else. Unless there were tons of steamy kisses with Ben during the HTD, the departure looked like a brother/sister good-bye - she gave him her signature cardboard, can't move my lips, pecks. I'm not seeing passion or fire there.

Ben's HTD edit was very indicitive of a F2/3. He is clearly still grieving deeply for his dad (and I admit to tearing up a lil bit when he said he missed his dad). Doesn't mean he can't be in love for fall in love, just notice that instead of having PIs about him and Ash, they're focusing on his dad (very Chris L and his mom)

Never been one for the popular opinion. Count me in with you guys. I absolutely love the way you listed that out LIving. Very thorough. Also, makes sense.

Plus, some of them pool photos look pretty hot....and on the boat they are lovey dovey......I don't think she could be that way with Ben if JP was really the F1. Didn't she say herself....If I'm not feeling it....I'm not feeling it!!! Looks to me like she feels it. JMO, of course!!

AND, I'll even state my previous opinion. Constantine is the one she wants..and he checks himself out. She has said before...she sees so much in him and she keeps him around because she is holding out that he will start feeling it. So, that's my "unpopular" opinion. :bigsmile:

I agree. Passion is lacking. Love the 'signature cardboard pecks' comment! I sensed the visit was strained. The editing set it up to show Ames visit was strained, as well. Constantine's family was an impossible act to follow. By the time we got to JP, Dino's vistit was forgotten and roller skating prevailed. They seperated the two visits because JPs family visit was not all that either.
