Why would he need to walk around her though - when F1s and F2s approach the lead at the podium, she/he position them either to the left or to the right - in either case they are already positioned to be proposed to, or do the proposing. There is no need to be re-positioned.

Could be nerves. In the past I've seen the lead positioning the guys but what I have seen so far Ashley hasn't and maybe someone off camera tells him to go to that side. In longer clips it looks like he pulls the ring box out early then moves to the other side.

Seems like a lot of great work has been done on this so I'm not sure whether what follows is going to be contribution or not, never mind a big find, but here goes. Let's assume for the moment that we are seeing two guys at the FRC

This is the correct orientation of the seascape as you stand on the western end of Vomo. Note the configuration of Vomo Lai Lai straight ahead and the islands of Kuata and Waya to the northwest (right)



It follows therefore that the following two scs are not flipped.




So when Ashley is running after someone, the image is not flipped and her hair is parted on her left. It's pretty clear in the sc.

For the last image to have been flipped and her hair parted on her right, it would have had to have looked like this originally (below), which just can't be right (wrong configuration of islands, podium stage and just about everything else)



Her hair is also parted in the left when she is talking to GSG. Note also, that her dark pearl earring is in her left ear, that her hair is draped over her right shoulder, and you can see her left ear (that also means btw that GSG turns to his right and walks away)



I'm fairly sure the same is true of her discussions with DSG. In the sc below, you can see her left ear and her hair draped over her right shoulder, indicating I think a left side hair parting. This image is not flipped because of the configuration of the podium stage and the fact that in another sc you see her tattoo on her right hand - where it should be.




Now .... in the PIs (wearing the same dress), Ashley's hair is parted on the right. These images are not flipped because her left ear still has the dark pearl earring in it and her right hand has no tattoo. If it were flipped, her hand raised in the sc below would have a tattoo on it.




So, … (dot, dot, dot ) I know I'm on shaky ground when it comes to hairstyling but IMHO Ashley's hair is parted on the left for both GSG and DSG and when she is chasing after run away guy, but parted on the other side for the PI. It seems strange to repart (is that a word?) her hair for an emotional moment after F1 departs (seems like you would want to capture the moment), and also a little unlikely that they changed her parting after an emotional departure of F2 (again capture the moment) only to move the parting back to the left again for the arrival of F1 (but perhaps not impossible)
So now for a little speculation. In the "I woke up this morning" PI we don't see Ashley actually say what went wrong, only that something happened to screw things up. The other stuff about being alone and her heart being broken are voice-overs from the Bentley fiasco, I think. Although I haven't looked into it fully - the light, sky and water look a little like the morning to me (ie. before going to hair styling for the FRC and the arrival of F2 - do they do makeup and then hair, or hair and then makeup?). Anything could have gone wrong - plane issues, someone decided not to come, too windy to land in the water, someone got hurt?

All this is my best guess, for now. Hope it added something.

Maybe JP felt sorry for her having to continuously push her hair out of her eyes so he changed positions out of consideration for her? it's not like he has to worry about his hair This way the sun isn't in her eyes.... and it won't be in his eyes once he goes down on one knee to propose either :blinkingheart:

Nice work Mr Write. Hair and make up look done in the meltdown cap. Maybe this is before either of her guys arrive and she's stressing over letting one of them down? She knows it has to be done but she hates having to do it.

Regarding the bolded: Ash hates planes and flying. It's her worst fear/phobia. It wouldn't surprise me if something happened with the plane's arrival of either her F1 or F2 and she freaked.

thanks Mr Write for confirming what we've been thinking. As to her hair "part" - in the ones where it's over to the left, that's the winds doing, not her hairstyle. She wears her bangs to the right (us looking at her) that never changes).

I was thinking the same thing. She parts her hair on the right and most? women don't switch it I don't think. I think the wind is very strong and making it go the wrong way.
