I'd sure hate it if a guy who might propose to me had to get approval from Mom and Sis or it would be a "no go." I'd get the distinct feeling that I'd be #3 in his life behind Mom and Sis. Did no one else notice this in the previews? I haven't seen it mentioned on this board, though it's been a big topic on another board I'm on.

Ben was probably just teasing her, and they cut the preview right before he tells her he's joking. IMO, they want people to think that is going to be a big problem, but I doubt it is. And that's not to say his family's approval isn't important to him, but I think that scene is just him teasing Ashley.

I'm just guessing. I just have a feeling it's one of those previews that is misleading. Like Ali calling Jake wanting to come back, and him saying he'd love for her to get on a plane and come right away. Except when they showed it on the show, he followed that with but it's too late.

I think what she wants from her man is basically what Roberto blogged about during his HTD with Ali. Here is a guy who says he has been practically catatonic in the personal relations department for the last four years since his father died. He tells you that all he has left is his mother and sister, so their opinion is a deal breaker. I would pay very close attention :Nod: VERY :yes:

In his defense, he's the only son, and likely has had to step up and be the man of the family. My DH has been in the same position for 30 years now. Sometimes it gets to be much, and he/we have to draw a line. But I doubt he'd be the same caring person he is now had he not taken his role as a son and brother so seriously.

ETA I would find Ashley a tad hypocritical if she rejects him for this, given her emphasis on finding a man who values family.... If she were to take this sentence out of the context of how kind and caring Ben is, it would be her loss. His chief issue imho is a lack of self-confidence....(And to go totally OT I confess if I were she, the daughter of an alcoholic, Ben's profession might give me pause....)

Isn't he 28? it's nice that he wants his family and his wife to get along... but do you tell the girl before she meets them? I know I'd be leery if a guy ever said that to me, actually, I take that back... I'd be gone. :Nod:

Where the caps altered by anyone in reference to lighting? The odd color reminds me of when TPTB changed the coloring of the sc's of E and C coming down the steps in Africa after it was mentioned on FORT about the time of day/sunset?

Are you referring to the two caps above? If so, the first one is the lighting shown in the video, the second one I think was just a scene fading to another scene which is why it's lighter.

oh, sorry! I should have mentioned that I just lightened San's cap in order to see it better. It's the same cap. I think the first one is just really dark because it's in the middle of a "fade to black" in the video.

Is there any chance it could be Chris Harrison, who went to calm Ashley in between F2 and F1? He wears a lot of gray suits. Sorry if this has already been considered and dismissed, I missed it.
