I feel so badly for everyone in the Butte fire as well as the Woolsey fire down south. I lived through the Wine Country fires of 2017 and we were in shock. It's so much worse up in Butte County. I heard today that there are 5000 school children displaced from schools that are damaged or gone. Your friend is lucky to have you. If you look in the thread What's Happening Around You, you'll see some posts about the fires.

What a horrible, horrible tragedy.

Wishing all who celebrate Thanksgiving tommorrow a wonderful, peaceful holiday.
We can all use just a smidge more peace in our lives.

Thanksgiving Day is about over in my time zone. Hope those who celebrate had a wonderful day with friends and/or family. Let us hope we all remembered what the day is all about. I was thankful to have the company of my two sons and their families. It was a way overdue gathering.

I was thankful to have my spouse, my daughters, beloved son-in-law and cherished grand baby sons with me. It was Queen B’s (Baileythedivadiva), first Thanksgiving.
Our holidays are far more in nature to SNL Chris Farley than anything close to Norman Rockwell.
But the bottom line is there is love in the end, regardless of snark and semi kitten fights.
We are blessed. In the scheme of things and life’s irony we are.
I hope you all are blessed too.

We had a quiet one since our oldest son & his wife went out of town and was just us and our youngest son for an early dinner. It was nice to get done and everything washed early. Now we're vegging out in front of football.

I was at the gym on Tuesday before Thanksgiving and we were grousing about what we had to cook for Thursday. Finally, I said, these are first world problems and we should just be grateful and thankful we have a choice!
Thanks for the reminder that we have far more than most and far more than we need.

@Sprite I feel as if the Instagrams are definitely curated to present an almost perfect person. We all know perfection doesn't exist (well maybe in 1 or 2 bachelors/contestants) and I hate that SM seems to convey it. Kaitlyn overshared a lot and we knew her foibles. But until Jordan and JoJo made their YouTube series, I would not have been able to tell the struggles they had their first year. I didn't care for Andi so never followed her - it was also Josh - I just couldn't get over how much spit he produced while talking and it was a major turnoff.
