Is there not a law where there must be the option to Unsubscribe to any emails you signed up for?

I go to the websites and unsubscribe from there. Like this forum used to email me when there was a new post right after I posted in a thread and I figured out how to change it to just the certain threads I wanted so my email wasn't always clogging up. Yet I still get junk mail every day.

You can set your notification's in your profile.

I receive a few emails, I have no idea why I get them every month, and there's no option anywhere to unsubscribe.

First, a few years ago we had to make sure there was the option to unsubscribe in any email newsletters that were sent to (law). Then we had to send an email to every single person on any contact list asking them if they would like to continue receiving emails, they had to reply to agree or reply to disagree.

Now, if anyone is caught without the unsubscribe option, or without the consent to send the emails, you get get a hefty fine. So if you work for a company that sells pens for example. You like a few options but you're not sure. They ask if you want to receive emails to notify you of new products, you have to sign a consent to agree to receive those emails. And those emails better have an unsubscribe or else!

I was so frustrated trying to unsubscribe. I placed them as spam, but still, they go to a spam folder now which doesn't solve the problem.

I will see if I can find websites for them where I can unsubscribe. Thanks for the tip @Linds911.

Oh wow I don't know about fines for emails! Junk mail I usually send to spam or delete right away without viewing the email in case of viruses.

Double post but is anyone else on Twitter lockdown!? It's been like that almost all day for me and starting to have withdrawals?

ETA: hahaha never mind it started working right after I posted this!

It looks like there was a hack that caused Twitter to be down. I have not checked into the whole story yet.
