Just got a huge scare , went on an East Coast live feed link and up pops this warning my lap top is infected with a virus , I pulled out my battery and after 10 minutes put it back and everything is okay .
Will wait from now on for West Coast from now on .

Sometimes those are spam warnings wanting you to download programs to scare you. You are probably safe. Sometimes the warnings look like it's coming from your virus protection.

The voice said call this number immediately do not purchase anything on line , but I never call any place I don't know .

I did get the show but it kept freezing .
so when I exited the warning came on .

That's a scam that's been going around for a long time. If you call, they convince you they can fix your computer with a credit card number. Don't call anyone or download anything.

Run a virus scan. If you notice anything strange the next few days, take it somewhere to make sure it's clean. Those can be nasty to remove.

What was scary is that no matter how many times I clicked on the
x box it wouldn't go away .
it kept saying the same thing over and over .
its better to read the post to find out how the episode is going than to try live feed , and get a real virus ,

I got that same thing rc49ers and I immediately deleted the link and thank goodness it went away so I will just wait and watch in my own time frame from now on.  Last time I got a message like that I could not delete it and had to bring my PC in to get it fixed and I will not take any chances with that again.  Not only was it expensive but I was without my computer for around a week - just not worth it to me.

What link was it so I can stay clear of it? TYIA
