I did miss portions of episodes..but from what I did see...

Vaughn and Monet each had walls up and each were waiting for the other to fulfill some preconceived notion of what a husband or wife should do/should be before either of them would open up emotionally.

Mom,
I am one of the commenters about a possible pregnancy.  I also know for a fact that "real news" trumps fluff stuff all the time.  Family connection to another morning show that was suppose to show a fluff piece about a family members' milestone, it got lost fast when the real news hit.  I am willing to bet that Ray Rice and the NFL story trumped the MAFS piece yesterday and today 9/11 coverage especially that it comes from NY made that piece so short.  
My comments of wondering if they are announcing it at the reunion, were purely based upon two observations.   Since they are the success story and therefore the face of the show, it seemingly makes more sense to me to have both couples on and given that the fire academy does not allow for absences except for emergencies,  I would have thought that Courtney would appear alone and make that very plausible explanation for his absence.  Don't know if they had a PR clause attached to the contract but they may have.

Secondly, To my eye she looked a little thicker, a little rounder than on the finale.  Of course that could easily be explained too.  Those are my observations and that was why I asked if she was pregnant.  I could obviously be jumping the gun and actually hope for them I am.

Thanks for the input! I do agree that the piece was cut short because of real news. I do also think it could be a possiblity that she is pregnant when you look at pictures. I also saw that she "took a break from burlesque"- which you would kind of be forced to do it you were pregnant. She is a tiny girl so any weight on her is bound to be very noticeable.
Maybe there will be some exciting news to announce on the reunion. I, like you, hope that they wait to have kids. They need to enjoy be married and need time to adjust to Jason's career change.
Either way, I absolutely adore that couple and would be happy with any positive news! :cutesmile!:

I'm not mom22boys, but I'm guessing this one. I always hesitate to comment on whether someone looks pregnant for obvious reasons. That said, I don't think she's pregnant. I think it's a combination of Courtney's posture and dress style. Her knees are locked and butt pushed out allowing the dress to hang with lots of space out front. Knowing that Jason is in the Fire Academy and that they are just settling into their relationship, I would be shocked if they've got a baby on the way...unless it's just one of those life surprises. But again, I doubt it.

I would think they would want more time together, before they start planning a family. I think I read Jason is done his training by December, plus they want to go on a trip, and her family is having a couples shower in October. They have hectic schedules and still need to learn a lot about each other. You never know though, but I think it's just the dress, and the way she is posing.

Ha! So true! I thought Jamie looked more "buxom" in her "final" pics and my hubby said, "Maybe she's pregnant!" LOL! Looking for clues already and none of them have been together a year yet!

For those of you who didn't see their segment on GMA it was 5 minutes, just a few comments and questions. Jamie and Doug seem very happy, Doug showed his adorable sense of humor saying "she fell in love with me cause I'm an incredible guy" Jamie seems all in. Monet said they didn't find love and that's what was missing. If any one else was watching please add. If you batted your eye it was over.

Too short, but cute interview. Monet's reaction to Doug saying he knew Jamie would fall in love with him because he is a phenomenal person was cute. Her eyes got big like she thought, did he really say that, and then she laughed.

Just finished watching the finale and my bet is Courtney and Jason have a very long and happy marriage. I'm hopeful for Jamie and Doug and if they succeed, I'm going to give Doug more than 50% of the credit. He's a stand up guy. Courtney's maturity just astonishes me!
