Honestly, given the body language I've seen, it's going to be the FD or LCD before we may see passion from Ben. I think Ashley sees JP as being out of her league much the way Ali tried to talk herself out of Roberto by fixating on Frank who was her 'type' like Ben and Constantine are her 'physical type'. For as understanding JP has been with her and as much as she raves about his kisses, she was still questioning his sincerity. She's scared he's going to leave whereas right off the bat she felt Ben 'liked' her (funny he's the one who now has conditions on whether he could really love her unless his family does). Ashley's fear of JP leaving her would be why she didn't choose him. Whenever you meet someone and can't understand why they are single because you think they are great, what you are really saying is that "you're so great you could have anybody. why would you want me?"

The odds of thing working out no matter who she chooses are slim. However, if she has to choose something that may not work, I'd rather her go for the passion/sex. She can marry someone 'comfortable' later ... LOL!

I'll give you that she probably does choose passion. But, on the other hand with Ben. I watched the video where he talks of his family to her. He also states in the next breath, that with the way he has talked about her, he sees no reason that his family would not like her.

I also don't think what he says is unreasonable. I've heard lots of bachelorette contestants say they would have to get along with family. If you stay with someone any length of time......you marry the family too.

I like both Ben and JP......and she probably will pick JP. Which is fine. But, I try, for the sake of fairness, to at least include both possibilities. Since the two will feature prominently.....I feel like they should both be given equal consideration.

Great post. Love the idea of a neutral zone idea so both guys can be considered equally. Sure would make things easier around here

I like both as well tho I somewhat favor Ben. But I also see the difficulty being a Ben fan here as has been pointed out by some here.

Why? Ben isn't the one getting attacked on the board, JP is. or is it cause JP is considered the F1 by the majority? don't let that stop you from saying what you have to say, but if you're expecting to convert some of us or that we're going to agree with everything you say, I'm not seeing that happening unless somebody has some concrete proof that Ben is F1.... like if anybody sees a bottle of Ben's wine in her fridge or a lock of his hair on her pillow ... and we have a "winegate" or a "hairgate" going on But character assination (not directed at you) isn't going to get any good dialogue going ....just sayin'....

Ben fans/Neutral fans are the ones taking the beating on here for uttering anything negative about JP.........just sayin

I think very few Ben fans, if any, "hate" JP. I think he is a nice guy....he just doesn't float my boat! But if he is Ashley's choice, that's a really great thing. Sometimes I think we just feel that "everything" points to JP and it get a bit defeating. Like Cupcakes said, it is tough to be in the minority.But I am fine, living in my fantasy world for a few more weeks. I shold be use to it, I usually am in the minority, LOL!

You're right, I don't think any Ben fans hate JP, I for one just tell it like I see it. No hatred involved.

Nutty..Very well said..I really can't see anyone Hate JP..Just because they prefer Ben..I really like Ben I think he is a cutie..I like JP I think Ashley has the hots for him..Now does it really matter to me who she picks no..It just feels like the last show..With all the Chantal Love that they couldn't even enjoy any other story that was going on..

BINGO, and that feels what's happening this time with JP. Not only are some kinda close minded to other love stories going on, when posters say something negative about JP, the whole JP camp comes running............IMO.

I'll join you in the minority, Nutty, like you didn't already know that. :awesome: I also don't dislike JP, just a little tired of reading about him. I'm sure the non-Ben fans would get equally tired of him if we were in greater numbers or more prolific. :Nod:

You are right Bean..........it does get tiring listening to the overly gushing remarks about JP......I also think if the shoes were reversed, the minority JP fan base would be tired of listening everyone talk about Ben, JMO

I think all I have ever said with regards to JP's attitude is that it was pretty childish, he did shoot daggers in his look to Ben, and his attitude is well known with the guys as all 3 that were there in the room, Lucas, Ames and Ryan all remarked that he has gone into his dark side and that he's not handling things well. OBVIOUSLY it wasn't the first time that he's done that........so much so that the other guys knew his moods. CH even said that he was impossible to be around due to his moods. So when you take that into account, it is ovious that the guys have seen that side of JP a few times.

As far as JP being put on a pedestal around here,,,,,,,,,that is so obvious. The fact that a poster says something negative of JP, there are so many posters that attactk that statement and use statements like......... "Throwing around words like "dangerous" is, at best, irresponsible and, at worst, salacious." .............. to describe a posters actions..........now I would say that as being a very "dangerous"

Here is what CH wrote in his Episode 7 blog about JP's so called "foul mood":
"JP was in a foul mood all week and being put on the group date only made it worse. It’s not that he’s necessarily insecure, it’s tough for these guys who care for Ashley at this point to have to watch her date the other guys"

Nope, CH did not say "JP was impossible to be around because of his moods" in his blog, not even close. Judge for yourself if CH said what was stated that he said , maybe it was just misinterpretation of what he wrote in his blog.
