Episode 7 - 7/11 - Discussion - Spoilers

When did JP ever blow up? Musta missed that episode. Anyhoo, I hope the f2 will not run off as it looks like in the preview.

Wow...I wish my crystal ball would work so Iand could predict the future about these contestants.

I've been away at the cabin but finally caught up on the last two episodes. Imagine my surprise coming here to read about other's thoughts only to find out that JP suddenly has anger management issues and uncontrolled jealousy...LOL...I didn't see that at all really. I saw a guy who basically is what he said he was: jealous because his feelings for her changed things, he doesn't want to see her with anyone else, and kind of embarrassed and uncomfortable with his feelings about it and the whole situation. Plus, putting on wedding clothes and posing for cheesy pictures in front of a completely fake-looking drop-cloth backdrop was so stupid and just about the worst group date they have had on this show, aside from the asinine sports illustrated date from last season. Any normal guy who didn't feel uncomfortable and who didn't want to be there was either drunk or possibly suffering from a concussion (ha ha). He wasn't going all stalker on her, he wasn't Michelle Money throwing her into a chair and straddling her, he wasn't drunk/crying hysterically/having a panic attack. He was jealous, uncomfortable, and he admitted as much to her and they dealt with it. IDK, it just didn't seem a big deal to me, so I was surprised it seems to be a big deal here.

I like both Ben and JP. Ben seems very easy-going and kind of quietly funny. Their date looked like such fun, and it's clear she is relaxed and happy with him. JP is more intense and their time together practically sparks with chemistry. She goes in for the kisses with JP! I think she realizes he is there for her, and it's nice given that the others don't seem as invested, frankly.

Ames is nice but strange. He holds his head weird. His clothes are weird too. IDK but I don't think there is any physical attraction there at all. Constantine was a big baby when she confessed about Bentley. He's just filler. It's definitely Ben vs. JP. Hate to see either of them get their heart broken.

The previews seem to indicate that someone may walk away: hurt, angry, done, whatever. So I guess we are being forewarned to prepare for the worst - and after all that we may see nothing of the kind on our screens. However, IF they show it, I am going to try to reserve judgment on whomever loses it, because - it hurts and they are only human. I'm also going to try to reserve judgment on Ashley, because she would never intentionally hurt any of these guys, and just like every single person who has preceded her on this show, she only gets to choose one of them at the end. It's a yucky enough situation for both the F2 and the lead. I hope I won't feel the need to pile on. Anyway, if they show it, one of the F2 will be upset. That doesn't make whichever one of them reacts that way a bad guy though.

I agree. I think if Ben walks way it's beacuse he just was heartbroken and hurt. I don't see him getting angry at Ashley.

I agree too............Ben, if he is F2, will take it as a man and walk away as a lot of other good f2's have done(Kip, Jason, and others)................JP on the other hand will really blow. He has already shown how he can act childish so if he is F2, chances are, he'll reinact the attitude and even blow up at Ashley.

We shall see. Still waters run deep and I think there is a side of Ben that we aren't seeing. I see the opposite happening if either one of them is F2. I think Ben's attitude would be 'how could you do this to me after you know what I've been through?' and Lord knows what else. Honestly, I cannot fathom JPs reaction. I think he would be totally crushed and I don't see how he would be able to do a video with his happy face the way he did last week.

This was very nice and fairly stated as well. I agree -- except for poor Ames. I love that guy!

Never happened, she was just a crushed and broken woman at that point and hardly uttered two word in the DD in the car. She just looked out the window very sadly with tears in her eyes. She was a firecracker on the show, never held back, was real, down to earth and passionate. She left that podium a different woman.

No can predict or say with any certainty how anyone will act as the rejected F2 on this show. It's utterly absurd. jmo

Agreed, and it all depends on how the lead is the day/night before and if the F2 has any idea it's coming. We're talking about Ashley here, she has no poker face whatsoever, I'm sure her F2 will know he's F2 long before he gets to the podium and will have had a chance to prepare himself.

This is so true! She handled herself with grace and with class and alot of people believed that she wouldn't.

I agree, Chantal was truly classy at the FRC. I am of the mind that the previews are misleading and it will turn out to be a tempest in a teapot. Not that that happens on this show at all *insert rolling eyes emoticon here*

Yes, still waters run deep. Not going to presume anything negative about Ben because I am more fair minded than that; however, someone who was quite reserved and appeared the perfect gentleman last season, Brad Womack, has admitted to anger management issues. So that's a perfect example that just because someone doesn't express a lot of outward emotion and appears calm, it doesn't mean they are more well adjusted and less likely to "blow" when provoked than someone who is more animated and does not suppress how they feel.

I think JP would react exactly how Molly did.

As far as showing JP's insecurities/flaws... what?!? Showing something "real" on a "reality" show?!? You are all blowing my mind right now. I didn't think normal human traits existed in these characters. Insanity I tell ya. Must have been a slip in the editing.

On a serious note...

Either it's like Bloomers said and it's something the couple might be dealing with currently or TPTB might feel would end/or cause trouble in the relationship.... OR it''s like ironcat said and that there just really wasn't anything else to go with so they had to dramatize normal human emotion to the umpth degree in order to make a rather boring show entertaining.
