I don't think I've really seen one JP fan change their opinion on him. Most of the people who have a negative view on how JP acted seem to mostly be people who weren't fans of his to begin with. If the producers were trying to cast doubt on JP, I think they failed big time. I'm basing this on what I've seen on all the other message boards and twitter, though.

Yeah, me either. Most people I talked to thought he was SO CUTE when he was jealous. If people weren't loving him before that, then they probably think even worse of him...but, eh!

really, I don't get that at all - Roberto had a quiet confidence whereas JP has been shown to be jealous - those two things are nothing alike. Aside from the fact that not all of us think that JP is hot, hot, hot....

Roberto watched as Kirk went back to Ali's room because she wasn't feeling well and he didn't even flinch. JP was upset because Ben didn't come home - it's like he's taken possession of her and nobody else is allowed to have feelings for her. Two totally different edits.

I agree with you, Anders. I just don't remember Roberto showing any jealousy towards any of the guys. I have Ali's season on DVD and have watched it several times over & over again. Roberto & Chris L became close friends during Ali's season. Neither one of these guys were jealous of each other. Roberto & Chris called each other every day and talked even after the filming of the show had stopped. During R's PI, he would always say, "I don't know how Ali's connection is with other people, but I know mine with her is awesome". Roberto often complimented Chris on how much of a family guy he is and that he's an amazing person. I just don't remember seeing R with a jealousy trait during the show. OTOH, Frank was the jealous of the guys during Ali's season. (IMO)

Guys are all different in how they react in this situation, just like women are different. In any case, I can't compare anyone's reactions to Roberto because that man is the Rock of Gibraltar. How many times now has his precious Ali gotten gravely injured in front of his face? And it seems each time he's chill and swiftly takes her to the ER.

I don't ever remember a F1 having a jealousy edit though.........that is more a F2 edit along with the physical part which is what JP is getting.........he's getting a perfect F2 edit........IMO

Come on! They knew he was hanging by a thread before Ben even came back. Why ask those questions in front of him when they knew he was almost in tears to begin with?

Maybe because he had been in a "foul mood" all week (per CH) and they had had it with him. In comes Ben with fresh stories(about the sites etc) and they were eager to hear them.

The only F1 who had a jealousy edit I believe was Melissa, but she was getting a F2 edit since the producers knew Jason had ended up with Molly. I agree JP's edit looks like F2, but Ben's does as well, so it's confusing.

I will never forget Bevin.....she was so devastated...that was when my husband told me he would never watch the show again with me.

mine watched the whole Jason/Melissa/Molly crap and said he would never watch it again.

When i watch the show he only comes out of the bedroom during the commericals, goes to the kitchen and then back to the bedroom. giggling

I went to lunch today with a group of 12 women who have watched the show faithfully for the last 5-6 years. Seven quit watching this season because of all the drama with the "B" word and Ashley's incessant whining and crying about it (their words). About half of them are unspoiled, the other half know the F2 are Ben and JP.

They watched the episode Monday night because they wanted to see Emily's interview...mission accomplished MF & Co. We got to talking about JP's edit and I was surprised that with the exception of one, they all thought it was super hot. They absolutely loved that JP showed a little emotion and said they like their guys to have a little fire. The consensus was it made him even more appealing in their eyes. Other than Ryan's over the top cheesy excitability, JP is the only one they see that is showing he is not bored to death and even remotely interested in Ashley. The ones that had not seen JP and Ashley's Hong Kong date were surprised at his ability to communicate his feelings to her so well at the group date cocktail party. All seven that quit are back watching the show and on the JP tram. So I guess from my little MN group, the edit JP got pushed him further ahead and made him seem more "real". Good job TPTB! BTW...We are planning a cupcake party for August 1st!

You can be a fan of any of them and still not like their behavior

You can be a fan of any of them and still not like their behavior

I agree, but pretty much all JP fans are defending it. Most non-JP fans didn't care for it (me included). Is there any JP fans on here that disapproved?
