Episode 7 - 7/11 - Discussion - Spoilers

They have been making fun of JP since the beginning and they knew that he liked her. They'd all been playing it cool and macho while he'd been wearing his heart on his sleeve. Bottom line is that they are going home one by one and he ... IS NOT! LOL!

Lucas is full of it. He was not happy about JP getting the Tux or about the kissing of the other guys. But he chose to complain about wearing a dress and feeling stupid. Why not complain about not wanting a group date where you kiss other guys which was the real issue. He would have worn a tutu had it just been them alone.

Actually, as much as I hate to say it, I really would have expected them to have goaded him more if they truly understood how much it was getting under his skin.
I have 3 nephews in their 20s, and when they are at a family gathering with their friends, that is the way they act. They really pick at each other and their friends. I think it is a guy thing. :greenman:

And SOME guys get mad and 'storm out.' I hope the same folks who think it's okay to razz him weren't the same ones complaining about the boxing date because I think that play and rough housing is a 'guy thing to do' too. I covered my face through most of that date but I know that guys play like kids until they are dirt old. Had no issues with the boxing (except for Ryan beating up Ames knowing he doesn't fight).

Gotta agree here... and the absolute WORST thing you can do is let them know it's bothering you...

Which he has done in the past as well and IMHO been a bit rude in his handling of his emotions to the other guys

I gotta say, the feel good moment of this last episode, for me at least, was when the condescending patriarchal he-man jack@$$ Lucas marched out of the dressing room in his elegant and lovely dress Could not have happened to a more self-entitled, pompous jerk IMO.

Naturally, it doesn't surprise me in the least that he is the one quoting all the spewage about JP. If, in fact, JP really and truly stormed out as edited, it strikes me as much ado about nothing. That is a temper tantrum or a hissy fit? The most responsible and mature thing any person can do if they are angry and not wanting to regret any statement they might make in that condition, is to just. walk. away. That's what grown ups do.

However, having seen CC's SCs, and knowing that the contestants are required to toe the company line while the show is still running, it does not surprise me in the least that Lucas would state that JP stormed out, whether it actually happened or not. It doesn't appear that it happened at all and I'm highly inclined not to believe Lucas about anything anyway.

I know it keeps being pointed out that it doesn't matter what actually happened, only what the TPTB are trying to tell us with the edit. But if that is the case, why does CH walk it back and defend JP's supposed bad behavior in his blog? I'm also wondering what the general audience reaction is to it? It seems that it hasn't had any major impact or repercussions for JP, at least that is the impression I have gotten, so far.

It seems pretty obvious that JP's jealousy is the issue that is being used to bring the doubt to the possibility of his ending up F1, and if the previews are any indication, it appears that he will be further tried and tested over it. I suppose it is quite possible that if he is F1, this is TPTB's way of telling us that Ash and JP are doomed. I guess I'll just wait and see but I imagine that they have as good of a chance of making it as most any of the other couples that have come along, only time will tell.

I like both JP and Ben very much and I hope that one of them will be her F1 and they try to make a go of it. But I can live with it, if Ash decides for whatever reason, that she didn't feel it enough to choose one or the other. Her life, her choice. Still I have a very hard time imagining she didn't choose somebody and I'm reasonably optimistic that the relationship is not already doomed. I just don't get that feeling or impression from Ashley.

And as always, both of her F2 seem to be doing just fine. And as always, everything will be alright at the end of this. F2 will be poised to be the next bachelor or find a real world match up within the year and hopefully, F1 and Ash will be able to make a go of it and find love with one another after the bubble.
