You should see the way I'm looking at some of these ridiculous comments. He has nothing on me. Talk about beating a dead horse on here. jeez a whiz. Looks don't hurt, but words and actions do. JP didn't hurt anyone and yes, I'd date him in a minute if I didn't have a boyfriend. I'm over this discussion, carry on

If I am understanding your post............I think you are implying my words have hurt someone........can you clarify please??

Its hard to compare a Bachelor lead to a Bachelorette lead. Very different, imo. Its more like JP is getting Roberto edit and Ben is getting Chris L's edit.

I said the exact same thing earlier. This is the storyline for each of them. I don't recall offhand if Roberto ever showed any jealousy over Alli and the other guys but if he did, then TPTB would have used it.

Now that the Bentley fandango is over and done with, they have to do something to get people interested and talking about this season. Sheesh!

Dearest Mary,

I just had to come on here specifically to respond to your post. I was in exactly the same situation you were in. Your story resonated with me deeply. I really try not to talk about it. It was a nightmare to get out and heal and find a new life. It took a lot of help from some wonderful people and a great support system from my family and friends.

I know that I should not be here. I was fortunate to get out alive. It was a horror that I would truly never wish on anyone. I survived and am very proud of that. I feel exactly the way you do. I do not see any of the dangerous characteristics or warning signs in JP at all. I think this jealousy issue has been blown way of proportion. As I said yesterday here, I see a good deal of myself in JP. I just watched the episode again, and at one point JP was just sitting on the couch and not talking. So one of the guys said in a VO that this is the way JP gets when he is upset - he becomes silent. That is so much me that it's amazing. The people who know me best would never accuse me of being jealous in the negative, toxic way that some are talking about here. I see a young man who was simply overwhelmed by his feelings and showed human weakness. God help us if we have to think that any of these people should be perfect and without some human imperfections. JP doesn't know what's going on, doesn't understand and is genuinely confused and hurt in seeing Ben be gone overnight with Ashley. He did not confront Ben or attack him in any way. He just got up and walked out so he could be alone with his feelings. Abusive people externalize their feelings and take them out on those closest to them. JP internalized his feelings and pain.

I want to reach out to you as someone who has walked in your shoes. I have been there. We both know what it means to live with an abusive person. We are survivers. We also know the truth that JP is as far from that as anyone could be. I learned the warning signs to look for and know them by heart. I would run as fast as I could if I ever came near anyone like that again.

JP is a good and decent young man who has fallen for a woman that he can't have right now. I look back over the decades of my life and see my younger self in him. He has shown us so much of his heart, his kindness, his passion, his caring, his goodness.

Please, please continue to post your thoughts! If you need someone to have your back, I will be there.

Exactly and because I have a problem with JP and his attitude doesn't by a very LONG shot mean I am wrong!!!!

I think JP is more a Rocky road type guy and Ben is vanilla. what ya'll think? Actually I think I prefer Rocky Road.. much more complex ..just sayin..
