Also keep in mind that men and women are different when it comes to separating physical intimacy from emotional intimacy. Men have no problem "having the hots" for one woman, while viewing another one as spouse material. For a woman, one feeling is more wrapped up in the other. That's why several Bachelorettes have picked the guy they had more physical chemistry with, while very few Bachelors have done the same.

I agree and have said as much before, the average guy has no problem with physical chemistry when they're not attached emotionally, but once the average woman commits to physical chemistry, she's attached emotionally too. (I knew there was nothing average about or dear sweet Jilly Bean )

Great observations -- I have to say we do learn some about relationships during this show...

With Dino all they did was stand in the same place... neither of them moved their hands or their mouths. It was like a pose. Again really weird.

I've been wrong before about the ending so if I am wrong this season oh well... I enjoyed watching Jash and their magical kisses.

Ali did the same thing with all her guys - including Roberto. She said somewhere at some point that she did that on purpose. We even saw a lot of peck type kisses with Roberto. I don't recall if we ever saw any real open mouthed kissing with those two.

Oh, I saw them for sure later in the game. They had to block some of that out. There was definitely one after he met her family and they sat down and talked for a while just before he left her ... serious tongue action.

You know, that got me to thinking. Is it worse for the guys to watch Ash going out with each other and then seeing the guys come home and listen to him rave about his date OR is it worse to not see anyone else till the RC and have to wonder about how things are going?

I think its easier for the guys to focus on their relationship with Ash when they don't see the other guys. JP said he didn't tell what went on during the dates and to be honest the guys that did tell what went on were emblishing it a bit, don't you think.

I think it depends on the person. JP would probably rather be alone where he can rant, rave and scream into his pillow while he imagines all of the things that could go wrong. Another guy might want some guys around to play pool with so that they can keep their mind off of it. With people around, you can still leave the group space and not listen. Alone with your own thoughts, you can't really get away.

Interesting topic, since Kyp touched on this in the recent vid (posted in his thread). Tenley was turned off by JP's jealousy and Kyp noted that this is at the point where things really become different because the guys are not involved with each other anymore.

Jilly was the exception to the rule!!! I seriously don't know how any of the woman leads can kiss, play out their convos in front of the cameras and about 5-6 crew, let alone snog someone who they know they are going to eliminate soon. Ash has kissed quite few this season but none with any gusto!

I totally agree. Those woodpecker kisses have got to go. Really? That's all you've got? I'd be bored out of my mind! She got more action from Ames and Lucas! LOL! I really expected to see something more from Ben on this last date. He still acts as though he's afraid to touch her. I think he really likes her but he's still afraid to let go or something. I think we're missing something about this emotional zombie business and how big of a deal it is. I'm sure he would like to find someone and this experience has definitely shown him that he's ready to get out there but I'm not sure if he's ready to make a commitment of that nature to Ashley when he's basically been hiding out for 4 years. He's such a sweet, sensitive guy who seems to be in touch with his feelings. He was very honest with Ashley about what he was feeling and while she was listening attentively, her eyes weren't sparkling the way they do when she's listening to/watching JP talk.

ITA. Ashley likes big guys because they make her feel safe and secure. Actually, everything they do make her feel safe and secure, just like the guys' breathing and just being alive made Jillian feel "adored," but anyway, JP is definitely masculine, almost alpha-male like, to give Ashley the feeling she's craving even if he's not 7 feet tall.

There was also one in Portugal that was panned out as they were sitting in the steps and Ali goes in for the kiss after he tells her he's never dated anybody like her... it was clear that it started as an open mouthed kiss but as it was panned out and snipped was hard to tell how it went exactly --- Ali liked her some Roberto kisses though!! she would get kisses every chance she got

ETA: ooppps! I was trying to respond to the conversation about the kisses here...

Totally agree with the above and I'm enjoying the magical kisses too much I think! I should be embarrassed at how much JP rocks my world - especially as a married mother of three. ;) But, it is just that I'm perceiving this lust for Ashley, not for myself . . . (that is what I tell my husband at least).

I am very analytical minded though - and I just can't believe they are letting us see all these fireworks between Ashley and JP if she actually picks JP. It seems like Ben and Ashley are probably having awesome wild kisses too - they just aren't showing it. Why would TPTB want us so invested in JP? Even his "jealousy" was adorable to most people who are older and in relationships - we women crave someone caring about us to the point it would "drive someone crazy" to be away from us or to see someone flirting with us. Seriously - JP is being presented as a gorgeous, smart, emotionally available and invested Alpha male who oozes with sex appeal and charm.
So, I am left asking myself - what is the catch?
