Yes as tempting as it would be to want to see Nick on BIP, I totally agree it is best for him to stay away from TPTB. At this point, I think some lucky woman will have snatched him up before this starts taping next year anyway. I could not get past the first episode either so I doubt I will watch next year unless somebody I really like is on it.

That's the thing about this show, they often show a 2 dimensional character and try to sell that as the person him/herself.
People can and do change all the time.
You can't change your past, but you can learn from it and grow.

Michelle Money got heat on Brad's season due to some past history that had nothing to do with the show itself and prior to the show filming. She has an awful past. AWFUL.

Are you referring to her affair with a married man? I don't really think that affected how she was seen by the typical, casual viewer as they probably didn't know about it. Just like most viewers don't know about Chris S's DUI and Marcus's drug possession charge and they both were able to become fan favorites. I bet if Michelle had gotten a similar edit to the ones she got on BP and BIP, she would have been very popular with most people, except for a tiny portion of total viewers who visit this forum and read RS.

I was referring to several instances, not just one.
She had an overall bad rep from many of her own circle in Utah over the years.
I don't think any of the things she has done that I'm aware of is even close to the accumulative of Chris S or Marcus's noted above.
Hopefully, like I mentioned earlier---she has learned and moved on to better things.

Did RS originally say that Arie (and Jef) were on the short-list to be on Bachelor in Paradise? I bet that the only reason he didn't do it was because he thought that he had a shot at the Bachelor.

Speaking of Jef, it makes me think how RS has speculated and predicted he would be on many things Bachelor related because he loathes both Arie and Jef and consider them both womanizing famewhores. And yet, particularly when it's come to Jef, everytime he's been wrong. Jef hasn't set a foot anywhere near anything Bachelor franchise related since Emily's season, other than attending Sean and Catherine's wedding.

I thought of that because something about the comment in his blog about Nick bugged me and made think about his attitude towards Jef and Arie. The way he posted "and I bet he does it" almost like of course Nick will rush to get back on television in the Bachelor franchise and personally I for one hope Nick pulls a Jef and stays away.

As others have noted, these people don't have to go on these shows to meet anyone in "Bachelor Nation". I feel a little hopeful that Nick will stay away considering how he wouldn't even take part in that Bachelor Guys thing that Michael Stagliano was putting on. Trust me, I adored Nick too and would love to see more of him but I think the best thing for him is to get back to his life, meet an amazing woman and move on from this nutty franchise.

Didn't Jef crash JP/Ashley's bachelor/ette parties that took place in Scottsdale? Also, they really haven't had any Bachelor-related shows except for BIP since Jef/Emily broke up, so it's not like he had a lot of opportunities. I'm not a RS fan, but I think he's totally on point about everything he says about Jef. That excerpt about him from Courtney's book proved it for me

I do agree about Nick though; there's nothing suggesting that he's dying to be back on TV. The only reason I could see him doing it is because I think that he really wants to find love and BIP is a really good way of meeting a lot of people.

This is Nick's thread so I don't want to go too off-topic, but I'll just say I never heard any story about crashing JP/Ashley's bachelorette parties but I only watched the wedding portion of their special. Yes, there has only been in BiP which again, RS swore at one point he was coming on (not true) but I'm also talking about his rumors that Jef was angling for the Bachelor role which was denied by all parties. I'm not saying Jef isn't manwhoring it up or whatever. My point is I've seen no evidence that he's interested in doing it on camera as part of the Bachelor franchise. That's two separate things.

The only reason I could see him doing it is because I think that he really wants to find love and BIP is a really good way of meeting a lot of people.

But yeah I still don't buy that. Like many others noted, there are plenty of ways for these people to meet each other. Hell Sharleen said the same thing in one of her recaps of BiP. That it's total b.s. that some of these people come on the show talking about how much they wanted to meet someone and like this was the only way to do it. There are plenty of Bachelor related type events that happen, people who competed on different seasons but who live in the same city often times meet and become friends and connect with others that way.

Again, somehow Chris Lambton and Peyton for example manage to find each other without having to go on Bachelor Pad or any of these shows. Like I said I like Nick and it's his life and he can do what he thinks is best for him but I know I won't watch. I had zero interest in this season's and will not be watching any subsequent seasons.

Yeah, I don't disagree with that. Call me cynical but I don't think anyone who did BIP did it solely to find true love. They did it for the paycheck, a vacation, promoting their business, fame and attention, and…MAYBE to find true love. I don't really have a problem with that and I don't think it makes anyone a bad person. I don't see Nick actively looking for those other things, but I could see him go "oh, a few really cute and interesting girls who live across the country from me are going to be on the show. If I don't like anyone, at least I'll get paid, get to hang out with some cool guys, and go on a free vacation. Why not?"

Interestingly, I believe that Chris Lambton/Peyton were set up by Jesse Beck, because he met Petyon on BP. So, I do think that these shows help create more connections, just because a lot of the older contestants no longer actively attend the reunions and a lot of them live too far from them.


(Not to go off-topic, but regarding Jef doing BIP, this is what RS said about it back in March: I’m pretty sure Kalon will do it. Also, Chris Bukowski is definitely in, as is AshLee Frazier.So many other names being throw around, but I’d say Courtney, Jef, Chris, AshLee, Michelle, and Sarah Herron are your safest bets right now, but that’s less than half the cast so there’s still many more to come. Those are my most solid bets right now that you can expect to see. I believe Arie is out now, but that could change.


Since he got everyone right except for Courtney and Jef, I'm guessing those two were in pretty serious consideration to originally do it but they must have changed their minds later on.)

Why would Nick do it if they ask him? I don't find any indication that he will be interested. After how he was edited, you think Nick will do it again? If so, I hope he will consult a good lawyer to draft a contract for him.
I hope he doesn't do BIP or any other bachelor related stuff. I don't think he will have problem finding love outside of reality TV.

Anyone from bachelor nation can meet anyone else ... why bother doing in front of cameras unless you really enjoy being on tv?
Not getting any vibe from Nick post-show that indicates that is a path he plans to go down.

Exactly!!!  If any of these past contestants see someone from the Bach Family that they are interested in, then what is stopping them from contacting that person?  All it would take is a phone call or text to either the past contestant them self or a call to someone who might be a friend of theirs - be it someone who is a part of the Bach Family or not.

They could also opt to attend charity events, rather than appear on national television.  There are so many other ways to meet, and it does not require that they do BIP2 and take the chance on being given another bad edit.

I, for one, hope that Nick does not have any desire to do BIP2.  I am sure that he will do just fine on his own, and he can do this at his own pace.  Apparently, if you go on BIP, and you are the last few couples standing, much is expected of you at the end.
