I'm just speculating that Ben is going to say it tomorrow night but JP is not, which might give the impression that Ben is pulling ahead.

You may be right but it could also be true. Nobody seems to believe it so perhaps they're telling us the truth but knowing they'll still get their drama in the end. They had the perfect opportunity to shove Ben at us last episode yet CH downplayed the overnight date. That didn't make sense to me but it does fit with the dark horse thing. Whether it happens that the dark horse wins or not remains to be seen but I do think there's an argument to be made for both guys.

I agree that Ashley is going to say in retrospect she knew from the beginning who she wanted, whether it is true or not. But I don't get why she would say that viewers should be able to have figured it out by now if it's Ben, unless it's a deliberate attempt to mislead. She must know that the overwhelming majority of the viewing public at this moment is seeing her connection with JP only, and for some, Ben is still being confused with Dino.

Well if Ashley is in love with Ben she'd be looking at their dates and thinking "how could they not tell what I was feeling?". Ditto if it's JP. I have a feeling there's a tendency for the lead to gloss over what they had with the f2 person with what they say and even watching themselves. Sort of rewriting history in their minds.

JP apparently didn't leave too much of an impression on Ashley immediately after Bentley left, Sjcalifgurl. She said herself that she wasn't able to give him her full attention on their 1st date and wanted to make it up to him. Obviously for whatever reason, Bentley did something for her and she was extremely upset when he left. I have no idea if she was really heartbroken but we saw her reaction so looks like she thought, so short time or not.

That Ashley could fall so fast for Bentley does make me think that no guy is out of it. A late bloomer can still win her heart. :awesome:

Along those same lines, I guess Ben wasn't leaving much of an impression on Ashley during their Taiwan date, if she admitted she spent half of the date worrying about how the other guys would react to her staying overnight with him.

Fair enough. And by that same token, she said she couldn't give JP her full attention, so maybe she meant she could only give him 95%.

:laughingoutlou She seemed to feel very bad for it so kind of doubt it. I'm not saying she didn't develop feelings for JP but she clearly wasn't herself that night. If she was less devastated than she made out she'd probably have tried harder to look better.

Regarding the bolded. I think her not trying harder to look better made JP step up his game. Its a good way to gage how into you a guy really is. I'm just guessing here, but I bet he's not used to that type of response from women. LOL! I think her vulnerability in that moment, spoke to the maleness in him. They were hugging on each other from the moment he got there. LOL I've read far to many romance novels!!
