I agree that Ashley is going to say in retrospect she knew from the beginning who she wanted, whether it is true or not. But I don't get why she would say that viewers should be able to have figured it out by now if it's Ben, unless it's a deliberate attempt to mislead. She must know that the overwhelming majority of the viewing public at this moment is seeing her connection with JP only, and for some, Ben is still being confused with Dino.

Well if Ashley is in love with Ben she'd be looking at their dates and thinking "how could they not tell what I was feeling?". Ditto if it's JP. I have a feeling there's a tendency for the lead to gloss over what they had with the f2 person with what they say and even watching themselves. Sort of rewriting history in their minds.

JP apparently didn't leave too much of an impression on Ashley immediately after Bentley left, Sjcalifgurl. She said herself that she wasn't able to give him her full attention on their 1st date and wanted to make it up to him. Obviously for whatever reason, Bentley did something for her and she was extremely upset when he left. I have no idea if she was really heartbroken but we saw her reaction so looks like she thought, so short time or not.

That Ashley could fall so fast for Bentley does make me think that no guy is out of it. A late bloomer can still win her heart. :awesome:

Along those same lines, I guess Ben wasn't leaving much of an impression on Ashley during their Taiwan date, if she admitted she spent half of the date worrying about how the other guys would react to her staying overnight with him.

And when she says "the guys," she really means JP. I've noticed this 3 times now. At the boxing match, when JP was getting pounded by Mickey, she looked like she was about to cry until JP turned the tables on him. Then she was jumping up and down almost cheering. In her PI, she says something about realizing how much she cares for "these guys." Also in her blog, she said something about how she didn't realize how things were impacting "the guys" ... when, really, JP was the only one acting out and going on and on about how he didn't want her going out with the other guys or kissing them or seeing her in a wedding dress with them and it was killing him ... LOL! Then she was worried about what the guys would think about her "spending the night" with Ben. The only person she's expressed worry over what they would think was JP. She didn't want him to think her being exhausted on their first date was about him. She was worried about what he would think when she told him about Bentley. She was worried that he couldn't see them together outside of the bubble doing regular things on a day to day basis ... I think that she and JP are equally neurotic about each other.

I don't think he's that neurotic- he's neurotic that someone else will steal her away from him, but ultimately, he's confident that he can make her happy and take care of her and he's the only man she needs to be with. I mean, he's ready to take her home and that needs to the end of it, according to him. She's done dating other men. :P

Fair enough. And by that same token, she said she couldn't give JP her full attention, so maybe she meant she could only give him 95%.

:laughingoutlou She seemed to feel very bad for it so kind of doubt it. I'm not saying she didn't develop feelings for JP but she clearly wasn't herself that night. If she was less devastated than she made out she'd probably have tried harder to look better.
