I checked JP's. Doesn't really look like his edit changed the twitter love for him. A few negative when they first started showing him get mad, but by the end some of those opinions changed back to loving him. Lot's of love for Ames to!

I don't think the quote had anything to do with The Notebook. It's just a twitter account that has a similar name to that movie. I follow them and they just send out inspirational quotes...mostly to do with relationships. I think Chris was just referring to the quote about forgiveness. Not the movie. Or Ryan Gosling.
