Chantal O'Brien - Bachelor 15 - Discussion

Well I'll bet that Chantal's mom has met Jeff and perhaps even spent all or part of the past two holidays with him...

Considering they all live in the same town, probably within a couple miles of each other, if her Mom hasn't met him i'd say that is a issue. JMO

Unlike some other couples, there parents live in one state, the daughter and grand daughter in a totally different state a few hundred miles away and the fiance' lives in another state even a few hundred more miles away.... where i come from and logically that makes meeting for the little holidays slightly more difficult. Just sayin....

I may be wrong, but I think MaggieMae was snarking on RS for saying that Brad and Chantal had spent Thanksgiving together. Nothing to to with B&E.

I think it's great that Chantal has found love and is happy. Everyone who's successful from the show says that the romance doesn't really gets going until the show is over so I think when you're out of the bubble you probably get over it fairly fast. I was engaged in less time but waited several months to get married. I imagine they'll do what works best for them. He's a lucky guy and doesn't look too bad himself. :D

I also suspect that one of the positive residuals from TB experience is it tends to open some of these people up more to their emotions and allow them to focus on the importance of finding a mate in their life, and that's why so many of them meet their spouses within a year or two of doing the show.

As far as criticizing Chantal for getting engaged too fast, she didn't do it by herself. Jeff had to ask her first (I assume) after all, and we have no reason to believe that he is unstable or "doesn't know what love is", do we?

So Chantal and Jeff are engaged - so happy for them! and I don't think that 6 months is too soon, not when you're mature adults that know what you want in life. If they were early 20's maybe but with her having been married already and knows what to expect, and him being a responsible adult who seems to have it all together, I don't see what the problem is. Living in the same town and being able to meet families and see how they interact helps tremendously when getting to know each other. One of the best ways to get to know the real person is to watch how they interact with friends but mostly how they treat family members. So happy for them :sweetheart:

Thanks for this video. One of my favorite songs and so beautifully captures the feisty Chantel...she is a special one.

Chantal's fiance, Jeff, is coaching a basketball team called the Seattle Swish. Here is his bio:
"As a graduate of Bellevue High School ('00) and the University of Washington ('04) Jeff has always made it a priority to stay connected and look after the up and coming youth. His coaching resume consists of many years of coaching at the Boys and Girls Club, along with 9 seasons and 7 state titles as an assistant football coach at Bellevue High School. Growing up, Jeff played AAU basketball at the highest level, enjoying so many great experiences, he knew he wanted to have a program of his own." (seattleswish.com)

I forget how much fun and life she brought to the show! Jeff is so lucky he gets to be with her.

ETA: I love that Jeff works with kids! Aww! It's just too bad they're private and don't let me stalk them. Rude!

Agreed!! I miss Channy Hopefully she comes back on Twitter eventually once everything dies down - and we can stalk her again
